  • I cannot get 3 USB devices to work at once. Do I have a driver issue?

I run Windows 7 and I've recently added a USB device from M-Audio which is a sound interface for recording. I know the device works but there seems to be some sort of competition between it and my other USB devices (mouse and keyboard). I cannot get all 3 devices to work at the same time.

If I turn on the Audio interface and then boot up, my USB keyboard (typing keyboard, not music) doesn't function due to a driver error, and the driver cannot be re-installed when I ask Windows to troubleshoot it. If I turn off the interface, then I can reinstall the driver and get the keyboard back.

If I switch the Audio interface to another USB port, then the keyboard works but I lose the USB mouse, and the same issue occurs when trying to reinstall the driver for that.

If I turn the Audio device on last, it doesn't configure the way it needs to for recording because it doesn't show the driver I need to select for that.

I know this has something to do with drivers, or USB ports, or power sharing... any ideas? I've check and I'm using all the recommended up-to-date drivers for all devices, so it's not that issue. Help please!
