Hey there,

Can anyone suggest the best possible way to get to the East Coast? I lived in Taiwan for a few years, but left back in 2010. Now I am going back on July 25 for 16 days and would like to make this trip, as I had never been to the East coast (I know, it's hard to believe).

I hear the journey through the mountains is something to experience, but I will not have a car, and as far as I am aware there is no bus or train connection this way, just around the mountains through Taipei.

On the East Coast, which city do you recommend, Hualien or Taidong, I guess I will have to settle for just one of them. because of the lack of time (possibly a 3 day trip). And when you suggest one of these places, can you recommend a good and cheap accommodation ( I am not picky)? If you suggest going to Taroko, what is the best way to get there on a short day-trip?

If you know the prices for any of the services I asked about, could you please tell me those too.

There is that Agreement between two schools I am reading now and I came across this sentence which does not really make any sense to me:

I would like to ask any stringing experts out there to help me with the following. I have just purchased new strings, a whole reel of it. All together it is 220m. I would like to know how many restringings I may do with it, according to your experience. Also for reasons I do not want to elaborate on I will most possibly have to cut this reel into sets for single stringing, so how long do you thing one set should be? If it helps my racket is Head Youtek Radical MP.

I am going on an intercontinental flight with EVA Air. I want to take a check in baggage, obviously, but my problem is my carry on baggage. According to their regulations I am only allowed my carry on baggage to be of certain size. But I want to take my tennis bag, which is slightly longer than the allowed size for Carry on. It is longer to be precise. It measures 64cmx28cmx29cm. It could fit into an overhead compartment on the plane no problem.

I have checked with the airline customer service, but they told me they can't guarantee it will be allowed, as it depends on the particular person at the check in counter. What is your experience with similar or the same type of carry on baggage.

When I watch a Divx movie or any other RIPed movie, why does the movie get choppy when the sound gets loud or there are some high pitch noises in it. It gets very annoying. Can it be treated in any way in the player settings?

Can you suggest a 3 day schedule of things to do and see in HK from Saturday morning April 3- Monday evening April, 5.

It falls right on Easter holiday, do you think there will be any kind of special activities for that matter, or it will just be a regular weekend for most Hong Kongese?

We also plan to make a trip to Macao. Do you think it is worth going there for say half a day? What should we not miss there? Or is it worth going there at all during those 3 days.

I would like to know how much it would cost me to stay there for about 10 days in February. Will be looking for accommodation in the 900pesos price range. I would like to get more info about Palawan. A friend of mine suggested going there some time ago so these year I decided to head there. The only problem is I cannot get reach of him these days and I would like to know more about it before I buy the tickets.

So is there any traveler/ resident to Palawan who could suggest what there is to do and where to go once I arrive to Puerto Princesa. I prefer nice beaches and good food. Where could I get a fix of that?

Also, is February (Feb 13- Feb 24) good time of the year to hang out at Palawan? Is Palawan as such safe for tourists?

I would welcome pretty much anything from your own experience.

I have a DDR2 laptop (http://www.notebookreview.com/price/product.asp?pi... and have recently upgraded my RAM. So I have these two spare 1GB RAM with DDR2 technology. I would like to give them to a friend of mine with a slightly older laptop which is running with DDR (http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/acer-aspire-3000/4... Does anyone know if these are compatible, or better, if I can put DDR2 RAM into an older computer built for DDR? Do you think it will work? Isn't just the insertion itself gonna fry his computer dead?

I really have no idea about these things. Can anyone tell me just by looking at my laptop's specs if the graphic card can be changed? I know RAM can be upgraded. And if you are so into it, do you think upgrading just the RAM in this one would make it any faster in everyday use?

About four years ago I bought for some reason a pack of 2-week Bausch ane Lomb contacts. Their expiration date passed in November 2008. I just opened the package and looked at the inside transparent package/blisters. The lenses in them look good to me from the outside, there is enough saline liquid inside and lenses look soft. I am just not sure if I should put them into my eyes? Does anyone know if there are any ricks connected with using lenses behind their expiration date. I mean it has been 9 months now. Thanx
