  • Throat/neck tattoos, quick Q?

Now I've been interested in throat/neck tattoos for a while now, and I'm interested to hear other people's experiences with them, pain-wise and sensation wise. I have been tattooed (Left bicep near the crook of the elbow) and I have to say, it wasn't fun near the inside of my arm or the crook, how does the pain stack up to that? Same kinda issues with nerves and such, factoring in the subjectiveness of the pain?

Also as a quick side note: Has anyone tattooed a throat/neck before and have any tips for it? My old boss was definitely not keen on throat tattoos, only ever having done one.

I'm an apprentice tattooist, and I'm definitely making a career out of it, so the whole "Oh no, what about your job prospects?" is more or less moot, even if some older shop owners aren't too keen on them. "How will it look when your old!?" Well, I'll be a goddamn hardcore little old asian guy, that's what it'd look like.

Cheers for any and all experiences/tips/depraved religous ranting. :)

  • Mixes for Tullamore Dew?

I scored myself a bottle for St Patricks day, and have yet to drink 95% of it, mostly because unless I'm already full swing into a drinking session, that much alcohol in a glass generally doesn't go down too well, and If I'm drunk then I may as well not waste the perfectly good Whiskey. So the option available is mixes/cocktails that aren't too extravagant or expensive, preferably without any extra alcohol, because I'm fairly skint at the moment. Something that'll properly utilise the flavours of the whiskey and not just blot them out so it can be skulled, that's not what I'm looking for. I'd just mix it with coke if I was going to do that, and then I'd probably have to run down to church a confess for that particular sin. Whiskey isn't cheap, and the Tullamore dew is a nice irish whiskey, just turns my stomach when it's empty, so a nice mix that'll improve the the shelf life of the entire bottle and also add some drinking pleasure would be greatly appreciated.

And just to head off those who say pour it into coffee, whilst you're right, I don't have access to a coffee machine all the time, and if I wanted a whiskey to pour into a cup of coffee I would have just gotten some Jamesons, but yes, I did try it, and yes, Tullamore Dew and coffee is delicious. Which should come as a surprise to no one.

  • When it comes to VCAA/VCE Scores, at what point is a definitive fail or pass? Is there a fail/pass?

I know it's marked out of 50, is there a line drawn in the sand, one side is pass, the other is failure? We're only talking raw scores here, ATAR/ENTER isn't an issue for me. The score I want clarification for is a 27/50, have I passed? Average scores don't mean anything much to me unless they have a direct bearing on the whole pass/fail thing. Cheers, I hope the concept of passing or failing isn't too esoteric for VCAA...

  • Haemophilia + body modification?

I'm a severe haemophiliac, and there's a lack of information about the effects of Tattoos/piercings on sufferers. Does anyone have any knowledge they can impart? Or some first hand accounts? It'll really help, thanks.

  • Haemophiliacs: First hand experiences of piercings/tattoos?

I'm a severe haemophiliac, and there is a complete lack of information about the effects haemophilia would have on the body modification process. Does anyone have some real experiences/nuggets of shiny knowledge that they'd like to share? Yes I'm aware it's not recommended.

  • Going on a cruise to New Caledonia, A couple of queries?

What is there that I, a young guy, would enjoy doing there that's not overly physical?

What's the drinking/smoking age there? (I.E: Will I, a 16 year old, be able to buy stuff over there?)

How good is the Pacific Dawn? What do they have to do?

(I'm going to Poum, Isle of Pines, and Noumea) - Much thanks.
