Chemistry question about possibility of creating and how to made soap that melt rapidly when in contact with water?
My chemistry teacher want us to research the possibility of solid soap that melt rapidly into soapy or liquid state when contact with water. I don't see that possibility, any insight to share?
1 AnswerChemistry5 years agoBall Bearing quiz, please help I don't get a clue, what is the answer?
Manufacturers who use bearings in their products have an obvious interest in reliability of these components. This is important information because manufacturers need to estimate when the bearings need replacing. The reliability of bearing is defined as bearing life, that is, how long we can expect the bearing to last under the same operating condition.
A bearing life is measured as the total number of revolutions at a given constant speed required for failure criteria to develop. A rating life is the number of revolutions at a constant speed that 90% of a group of bearings will complete or exceed before failure.
The data set given are real data taken from Lieblein and Zelen’s (1956) study. It consists of 210 endurance tests carried on bearings produced in three different factories under the same manufacturer. Each test involved a batch of bearings of the same type under the same condition and observing its reliability.
Describe what you understand by these numbers (read across a row).

Suppose that a bearing is revolved at a constant speed of 500 revolutions per minute, how many days can an average bearing last if it is used non-stop?
Refer to l10 19.2 and L50 84.5

1 AnswerEngineering7 years agoHow to solve (3x - 4) / root(2+x-3x^2) dx, please help?
I Need to solve using completing the square and also the formulae of 1/root(a^2-x^2) dx = sin^-1 (x/a) + c
to prove (3x - 4) / root(2+x-3x^2) dx = - root(2+x-3x^2) - 2.02sin^-1((6x-1)/5) + C
2 AnswersMathematics7 years ago(3x-4) / ((2+x-3x^2)^(1/2)) dx .... how to get the confusing answer given?
(3x-4) / ((2+x-3x^2)^(1/2)) dx
My solution sheet, said the answer was -root(2+x-3x^2) - 2.02sin^-1((6x-1)/5) + C
i just could not understand how to get the above answer

If y= root(x(1-x)) - tan^-1 (root(1-x)/x) prove that x(dy/dx)^2 = 1-x
I work untill 1/2 ((1-2 x)/sqrt(-(-1+x) x)+(2-x)/(sqrt(1-x) (1-x+x^2))) but don't know how to show

1 AnswerMathematics7 years agoCan anyone show me why d/dx(cot^-1 (x)) = 1/ (1+ x^2)?
I can't figue out how to show that
a) d/dx(cot^-1 (x)) = 1/ (1+ x^2)
b) d/dx (sec^-1 x) = 1/( lxl root(x^2 -1))
c)d/dx(csc^-1 x) = - 1/( lxl root(x^2 -1))
teach please
