  • Help with how to do pinup make up?

I've been getting into pinup style makeup and hair styles lately and was just wondering if anyone could help me make this look a little more authentic? I have short hair, so there's not much more I can do with it than what I've got in the picture.

This is basically what I wear as far as makeup probably 5 out of 7 days.

  • How to best care for a mildly infected industrial piercing?

I got an industrial four days ago and when I woke up this morning it was swollen, red, and starting to crust a bit. Is it too early to worry about infection? I've heard this is a very temperamental piercing. I've had keloids before and I've also heard that this piercing is very vulnerable to them, so I'm also trying to avoid that. So if it's not too soon to be worried about infection (this isn't the piercing just being fresh), what's the best way to care for this so that I can head off a more serious problem?

  • Question about showing?

I've only ever done schooling shows and IHSA (hunt seat) in Kentucky. But this summer I'll be doing A rated shows in Florida through a job I recently acquired. Just wondering what differences to expect, both with the Florida horse scene in general and going from IHSA to the A circuit? THANKS!

  • Question about horse noses?

Just wondering if anyone else finds Roman noses attractive? I happen to think they can be quite aesthetically pleasing when seen on certain horses. Anyone agree?

I've also heard that Roman nosed horses tend to be more stubborn. I think this is just a wives tale. Anyone have any experiences that prove otherwise?

  • Question about transportation companies?

I'll be working one a hunter/jumper farm in South West Florida this summer.

Might be taking a horse with me.

    So from Kentucky to Florida.

I need to find a transport service because I don't have my own trailer.

Anyone have any experience working with equine transportation services?

I'm looking for the best bang for my buck. Doesn't necessarily have to be the cheapest.

    I appreciate your input :)

  • Question about new gaited pony?

Alrighy, the woman I ride for just got a new pony and asked me to ride it yesterday (she DID ride it before she bought it.).

He's got a VERY hard mouth, like I have to do a one rein stop, and he's iron sided.

But, while I was riding him, I discovered he was gaited. He gaits AND he trots. We know his dam was a Halflinger, so the father must have been a gaited pony.

    1. How do I make his mouth softer?

    2. How do you fix an iron sided horse?

    3. His gait is a bit sloppy, and he breaks into a trot often. They want him to gait, how to I keep him in it?

  • Question about breeches?

I don't even know where to start with finding the right size!

I usually just ride in yoga pants or comfy stretch jeans.

But I'll be showing now and need some actual riding breeches.

I wear a size 11 jean, if that helps.

  • How to make my hair softer?

Ok, my hair is healthy, but some days it just feels a bit rough.

I use Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner. I use Moroccan oil about every three times I was my hair. I don't always wear my hair straight.

Any sort of DIY oil treatments or something I could use to make my hair softer/smoother?

That's my hair now, idk if a picture helps or not. That was one of it's better days.

  • Need some English riders please?

So I'm looking at buying this little girl as my first horse. I think she'd be great for dressage, but what about lower level hutner/jumpers?

And please, no rude comments about having a young first horse. I've been riding a three/four year old for the past three months and done fine. And I've met this filly and she's not nearly as high strung as the one I'm riding now. Just looking for conformation insights. (i.e. If she's not good for hutner/jumpers, why not? What SHOULD I look for?)

  • Tips for a Beginner Jumper?

I have been doing flat work for eight months now, all professional training except for the past two months.

Walk trot canter hunt anf stock seat. But I'd like to start with jumping.

I'm currently leasing a 15.3 QH Draft X from my school and he's never jumped before.

But I'm looking at a young 14.2 Vanner X to buy. He has a tall hind and deep chest with the short high Vanner neck.

Would he be good for jumping? In the mean time, how can I start myself and the leased horse on jumping?
