  • What is the little ~ thing that separates scenes in novels called?

    i have no idea but i think its when the author changes the topic or jumps to a diff scene. sometimes it also represents time passing it can be all sorts a ~ symbol or a series of dots.

  • Help with dress and hair for formal?

    ok so formal is in a week and i have 2 major problems. 1st one is that my dress which is full length only touches the floor when i have no shoes on. my shoes i have discovered raise my dress a bit over 2 inches off the ground. does this matter?

    it kind of changes to look. i think it breaks up the length that the style of the dress creates. takes away some of the glamour i guess. i dont really want to wear flat shoes.

    2nd problem is my hair its about 2 inches longer than shoulder length and dark brown/ black. i was going for the french roll with a side swept fringe or 'bangs'. it looks nice but i have a genetically bad jawline and a chin that goes straight to my neck. its not that bad not like a double chin look but im worried that this accentuates it. i dont no that my hair will look any good down because of the length. also it doesnt hold curls well.

    suggestions please :)

    i have pre formal jitters.
