If I give my baby a dummy when he appears to be agitated or starts sucking his fingers and he is actually hungry will he spit it back out and continue to cry? I heard somewhere that the sucking motion is what tells their bodies they're full or is this complete rubbish? Also how long is too long for him to have the dummy in? I take it out if he is in a deep sleep I will take it out or sometimes it just falls out but is it bad for him to just sit sucking it continuously? Should I always take it off him after 10 minutes or so? He is 3 weeks old.

Okay so I am 29 weeks pregnant and working full time as a care assistant at a residential home. I only started about 2 and a half months ago. I actually found out I was pregnant at 16 weeks and it was quite a shock (would never of applied for such a physically demanding job otherwise). So I obviously won't be getting maternity leave/pay. I don't plan on going back afterwards either. I know about SMP, however I have looked into it and it says it depends on how long you have been working beforehand. I was in full time education (college) for 2 years before I started working in this job then I went straight into this job. I am unsure as to whether I would still qualify so was wondering if anyone has any information on this. We could get by on my boyfriends wage alone but it would be a bit of a struggle so I would appreciate any help I can get!

I mean should your kids come before everyone else in your life? What would you do if your husband/wife and child didn't get on at all? I'm asking because I just moved in with my dad 3 years ago. Him and his wife have been together since I was about 1. We do not get on AT ALL. However, I try for my dads sake, she doesn't. I get that she has probably been a bigger part of his life than me, but it's not my fault my parents got divorced is it? At first I thought he sided with her because she's the 'parental figure' and I'm the 'child'. But now I am no longer a child, I am moving out soon but it still goes on. I resent her so much and I'm starting to resent him too. The other thing is, she expects him to take her side and throws a huge fit if he doesn't. I have had both of my parents put other people before me and I am honestly so fed up. Shouldn't your children always be your number 1 priority?

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and have my scan Tuesday. This morning I woke up with a very uncomfortable feeling/pain in the right side of my lower belly. I know about ligament pain and stretching so my question is, is it normal for the feeling to last ALL day non stop? It's quite uncomfortable and I can't even lie on my side! Still feeling the baby move and everything, but should I see someone about this? Or should I just wait till my scan in a couple of days?

Okay so me and my boyfriend have had some trust issues in the past (clearly since I'm writing this question lol). Anyway, he has two email addresses one is gmail the other is ymail. I only have one email address and it wasn't working so I asked to use his for something. He said oh I forgot the password to it. he uses this particular email address (ymail) for Facebook and Instagram so I thought how can you not know the password for it? He said his dad made this one for him when he was about 11 and the other one he created when he was sixteen and he's never known the password to the ymail one. I find it quite hard to believe that he didn't use emails at all until he was 16?? I mean you need it for everything these days. So I said go on it then and show me you haven't used it so he said okay and it would not let him log on. He said it must of automatically deleted. My question is do you need a conformation email for things like Facebook, Twitter or Instagram? Because if you do that would prove he's lying, thanks.

I am always comparing myself with her like is she prettier than me, what does she have that I dont etc. me and my boyfriend had some issues with her at the start of our relationship, I was the 'rebound girl' but its been over a year and I know he loves me now but I can't seem to get her out of my mind?! I check her Instagram and Twitter almost daily I'm literally going crazy, I've never felt this amount of jealousy towards someone in my life and to be honest she's not stunning or perfect or anything she just seems like a regular girl? So why am I so jealous of her? What can I do :-(

so I'm only about 4 weeks gone and my roots have got quite bad! Is it safe to bleach my roots while pregnant? I would do it myself in a well ventilated area, If not I'll just have to put a brown dye over the top, I've googled it but have mixed answers so can someone who knows what they're talking about please tell me? Thanks!

My period is due in 4 days, I'm so impatient though I just want to know now, I've been ttc for 5 months now and for the past few days I've been feeling really bloated, and have a really uncomfortable feeling in my stomach/abdomen area. I didn't think it was possible to have symptoms this early, is this a pregnancy symptom or is it way to early to tell?

When I'm on my own I just feel empty inside or I don't feel like doing anything/don't like going places on my own. I will avoid going out, or seeing people I don't get along with when I'm by myself, but when I'm with my boyfriend or friends I feel happy and fine like nothing can phase me? It's almost like I have no confidence in myself I rely on others for my happiness I can't be happy on my own please help :(??
