I'm taking a trip to the Philippines in a month to collect Visayan literature from Manila, Cebu City and Tagbilaran City. I'm looking for universities and libraries I can visit. I'm also hoping to come back with a suitcase full of books, so if there are any good book stores you can recommend, that would be great!

I'm not sure whether the correct verb is "estoy" (which makes sense in English) or tener (which Spanish uses to say stuff like "Tengo frío" which doesn't make sense in English but is correct in Spanish).

This is all in the context of being dizzy because of illness.

I'm curious to know how people physically respond to being hurt or broken up with.

When someone breaks up with you or you see someone you love with someone else, how do you respond?

Do you run away?

Do you hold in your breath as your eyes begin to fill with tears?

Do you have trouble breathing?

I'm trying to get ahead on my Spanish classes. I have the opportunity to take a summer class at my community college and earn 5 UC-transferable credits.

What do those credits equate with in high school? A full year? A semester?

I don't want to waste my summer taking a class where I'll only earn half a year's worth of credits, because my counselor will most likely make me take the entire year's worth, anyways.

I'm a 9th grader at an Early College. I'm really smart when it comes to academics (especially math) but this year I've found that I can't concentrate on anything. Because of the level of my classes, I'm supposed to study 5 hours a day, and I can't seem to sit still!

It's the middle of the semester and I seem to have gotten away with do little or no studying or homework, but it's all starting to catch up with me. I couldn't sit long enough to effectively read my college textbooks and midterms are this week and I'm starting to worry. My high school English and Biology teachers are starting to notice the lack of thorough knowledge that I'm supposed to have, not just as a requirement for the class but as the student I usually am. My backpack and my binder is a mess and I'm losing all my class notes. I'm only getting by on my test scores, and right now, they're beginning to drop.

Am I just being a lazy student? Every time I try and study, I just lose my focus! I hardly have any sleep at night because I end up doing what ever work I manage to get done at the last minute and I come to school exhausted. Today I tried to study my biology chapters at the library, but I ended up just walking around.

If so, tell me what it was and what they thought it was!

Today at graduation, me and my friends were all in our black robes and looked like Supreme Court justices.

So after the ceremony, we were taking them off and I said, "Goodbye career."

My friend, Jonathan, was like: :O

"I'm not a queer!"

Today was my last day!

I'll miss my friends, but a break from school is a break from school!

This school year went by a bit fast for me, what about you?

I had this argument with my sister today. She was like, "They're the same thing."

And I was like."No they're not!"

"Yes they are!"

"Nuh-uh!"

"How?"

"They just aren't."

Not a very good comeback. Does anyone know the difference? I have to prove my sister wrong again.

She asked a few months ago and we don't know what happened to it.

It was a silly question.

I say Prince Caspian all the way (movie was great, Caspian was HAWT, etc.)

I haven't seen Iron Man yet. Mainly because I'm not one for little boy movies.

What if somebody WANTS to follow his/her dreams, but they need to be successful, and the only definite way they will be successful is if he/she plays it safe. But that not what he/she wants.
