I've got my son's eight year old friends coming over next week...I've watched half the movie and it seems like there are a lot of adult themes and jokes. I was wondering if anyone can vouch that kids that age enjoyed it. Last time, Despicable Me 2 was a big hit, but with this one, I'm not so sure.

The movie came out in the late 90's, or early 2000's.

There was a deaf hotel maid in (I think) London who stole something from a rich couple's room.

There was a scene where one of the bellhops is in the room, maybe bringing room service, and the wife comes out of the bathroom naked. Later, he is in the room again, and he is looking around hopefully, and the husband says, "You can leave now...my wife's not here."

I can't remember any of the actors, and it wasn't a smash hit...the theater was pretty much empty when we saw it. Anyone have any idea?

I have Windows 7, and in the last day or two the DVD drive won't open my DVD's or CD's. A green bar moves slowly across the top of the screen on the G RW Drive icon in My Computer, as if it is trying to read it, but it never opens it. When I click on properties, it says the device, a MATSHITA DVD+RW UJ8C1 ATA is working properly.

My question is that there appears now to be another device, listed as ST9750420AS ATA device, listed as a disk drive. I'm not sure where that came from or what it is, and I'm wondering if it is causing a conflict or if it is actual software that came with the computer. Why do I need a second device there? Apparently, this is also working properly, but I don't want to uninstall it without knowing why it is there. Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful.

I have tried disabling and even uninstalling the first device (the Matshita) and rebooted, also updated all the necessary drivers. Can I just uninstall the second device? Is that what is causing the problem?

I never saw any of the games he announced, but I remember everyone talking about what a disaster he was as a color commentator. Anyone remember specifics of his brief tenure, or can explain exactly why he was so bad?

And if you're going one way, is their anything wrong with simply buying the round trip and tossing the return ticket when you get to your destination?

If you commit a crime on a Norwegian cruise ship docked in Miami, are you charged according to Norwegian law or US (Florida) law? What about if the ship left Miami, and was in international waters?

I met this guy at a party who told me about a movie, which I would like to see, but he didn't know the name of the film or any of the actors.

Three guys go to an Asian country, maybe Thailand or Malaysia, or maybe a fictional country. They are caught smuggling drugs out of the country. Two escape and make it back to the US, but the third guy goes to the Asian prison.

At that point, the Asian government announces that they will execute the guy they caught unless the other two return, in which case they will all be given more lenient sentences. Most of the film revolves around the other two guys debating the moral choices, and whether or not to return.

Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? Thanks in advance...

About ten years ago I saw a documentary on television, an hour long, in which candidates who had lost a presidential election were interviewed on how it felt to lose. They included GHW Bush, Mondale, Dukakis and Bob Dole. I've been searching everywhere for the name of it, Google is no help. Anyone know what I am talking about?

I'm pretty sure it was on a major network, NBC, CBS or ABC, but it could have been on a cable channel.

I saw some parts of this movie about 20 years ago...a guy, I think a radio talk show host, (could be wrong) decides to show how easy it is to whip people up into a racist frenzy, so he starts a hate speech campaign aimed at Albanians. The only scene I remember well is him and a friend trying to think up a good racial slur for Albanians. Any ideas?

What is it called? Didi the troops have a nickname for it? Was it any use? It looks like it was designed to combat tanks, which as far as I know, the VC didn't have. I was wondering if it was a boondoggle or a popular weapon.

I have a Samsung Galaxy 2. It came with Samsung Global Navigator, which is pretty much useless (It thinks I'm about a mile from where I am at all times.) Any suggestions about what to get or what to avoid?

I just burned a Linux boot disk onto a DVD, and technically, it is a boot CD. The Ubuntu website is a little vague about whether a boot CD would work if it was burned onto a DVD disk. Is it possible that this is the problem?

Also, their boot DVD is over 4.5 gigs, which is more than the size of a DVD disk. How can you burn a disk of that size?

I just bought a laptop here in China, and it works great. Unfortunately, the Windows 7 Ultimate that came with it is in Chinese. I speak and read a little Chinese (I've been here two years) but going into the control panel or fixing problems like intitializing disks is out of the question. So I my question is, can I upgrade this and get a new, English version without having to format the disk? Is there special software available for this problem? I spent half an hour on the Microsoft website and couldn't figure it out. Thanks in advance...

I'm in China, and I can't get a connection through my VPN. Anyone have any ideas what this means exactly? Does port refer to the receiving server or to my computer? I'm using Windows Vista, VyprVPN, if that matters. I've tried connecting to several different cities, and keep getting the same message. Turned off Windows Defender, disabled my anti-virus stuff, still get it. Any input or suggestions appreciated.

Is there a way to get an .ipa file (in this case Pleco dictionary) working on a Samsung Galaxy? I've downloaded it onto the phone, but it says there is no application to open it. I think it's Apple's proprietary DRM that's stopping me from installing it. Do ipa files only work on iphones?

Maybe someone familiar with the equipment soldiers carried in Vietnam could tell me what those brown tubes on their packs are. Thanks.

I always get asked "Eat here or takeaway" but they talk so fast I can never make out what they are saying. I hear something that sounds like "Why me" and I know that's what I'm being asked, so I just point the answer. Can someone tell me the words in Chinese? Also, I can read a little, so if you can write it in Chinese that would be great, too.

Is anyone in China having trouble accessing Yahoo mail? I'm in Taiyuan, China, and I haven't been able to access my e-mail for two days now, and I'm wondering if it's a technical issue or if it is being blocked intentionally. Thanks

I'm flying from Beijing back to the USA in the next few weeks. I've been looking for deals online but basically, despite all the so called competition, pretty much every site offers the same ballpark price. Does anyone have any tips about best time to book, best time to fly, what sites might have some different prices, etc? Any advice appreciated.

I'm stuck in a rural town in China and missing some quality true crime shows. Ones I've liked in the past include Forensic Files, The Shift, The FBI Files and the ones mentioned above. Haven't been back to the States in a while and I was wondering if there was anything new in this genre, or some I've just plain forgotten about. Thanks.
