I have raised an orphaned baby sparrow and is now approximately 18-19 days old...has feathered and is able to fly quite well and has started eating crushed seeds by itself (in other words has weaned) but is still reluctant to drink water from the dish. I don't want it to be my pet as I believe that birds real place is where they belong...sky. I intend to release it at some place where it can find fellow sparrows to keep company and learn from. So was wondering what is the best time to release it back to the wild?
