I've got an opportunity to pick up a pair of Nordica Velvet Aces for a really good price. I've been skiing in the Dalbello Raya 10s for the past couple of years, but they're pretty packed out and I think I'd like a stiffer boot anyway.

I've tried on the Velvet Aces, they seem to fit very nicely and the flex feels good, plus I like the light weight of them, but I'm not sure what makes them a "park boot" that might be disadvantageous from an all-mountain skiing standpoint.

If a 5-pointed star has sides that are 8 feet long (imagine you're drawing it by hand using five lines - each line is a side), what length are the sides of the pentagon that is formed by connecting the inner vertices of the star?

I have a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The heater has stopped blowing air a few times over the past few weeks, but flipping the switch off and on has made it come back on. Last night it gave up the ghost.

In what order should I check things to try to diagnose this? I know some part of this might involve removing the dash, and that I'm comfortable with, but I don't know how to check voltage and I can't find my Haynes manual. My mechanic is backed up for several days, and my schedule for not needing a car is tight, so if I can rule out some easy-to-fix things before I take it in, I'd rather leave the harder stuff for him when he has time.
