Question about driving test?
The car I'm using to take my driver's test has a camera attached to the back. The camera relays an image of what's going on to the driver in the front seat via a monitor - so essentially you can see behind you without turning to look back. Are you allowed to use this monitor to help you at all during the driving test or do you still have to turn and look behind you all the time? I live in CT if that helps.
2 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation7 years agoIn the Walking Dead, how did Rick know what time it was?
In this most recent episode (s4 ep11), Rick says to Michonne: "It's 8:15 now. You be back by noon."
How would Rick know what time it was if there are no clocks working accurately anymore, and how would Michonne know when "noon" was when she was running out to get supplies?
2 AnswersDrama7 years agoHow to block Internet access on a Mac?
Hi. I need to temporarily make it so that my child can't use the Internet on his Mac book. I can't just turn off the house's wifi though because I still need to use wifi for my computer. Is there a way on his Mac book that I can make it so that he can't connect to the Internet temporarily?

Has there been any research done on this? And if not, is that because there are federal regulations in place that would prevent such research from occurring and/or being published?
1 AnswerEarth Sciences & Geology8 years agoAre king snakes immune to coral snake venom?
I know that they are immune to pit viper venom. Is this also applicable for elapids in places where they might encounter coral snakes (southeast and southwest US)? If not, are king snakes able to discern between coral snakes and other snakes in order to determine what is "safe to eat" and what is "not safe to eat"? Or do they just learn their lesson with coral snakes through trial and error (or death)?
1 AnswerZoology8 years agoLooking for a GPS that's good for off-trail hiking?
I'm looking to get a GPS that can be used to determine whereabouts more easily for off trail hiking.
Here's what I'm looking for in it:
--Either regular, replaceable batteries (rather than rechargeable ones), or some type of battery that could actually be charged while backpacking (e.g. solar powered)
--Tells you your exact GPS coordinates as you navigate
--Has a good satellite and topographic map of your surroundings that you can pull up on it while navigating.
The first two points are more essential than the last point. Thanks.
2 AnswersOther - Outdoor Recreation8 years agoIn the double slit experiment, do observed electrons still create an interference pattern?
So my understanding is that the experiment went something like this: Electrons shot through two slits. They act as if they're waves going through both silts and creating an interference pattern. Then they're observed and (gasp!) they're actually particles that are seen to go through only one slit.
Once their particle nature is observed, they should act as particles and create a pattern of two bands, right? Or do they still continue to create an interference pattern on the wall even after they're observed as particles?
3 AnswersPhysics8 years agoWhy do companies add milk and/or eggs to foods that don't need it?
Let me give an example. Dark chocolate doesn't require milk or eggs. Yet, many companies add small amounts of it to their dark chocolate, making it not vegan. This is true with many other products (e.g. bread) that don't require milk and/or eggs but have them added in small amounts anyways.
In the USA, about 1% of people are vegan... that's over 3 million people. So wouldn't adding eggs and/or milk to products that don't need it just eliminate a ton of potential customers and mean lower profits for those companies?
Seeing as doing this eliminates so many potential vegan customers, what's the rationale behind this extraneous addition?
12 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan8 years agoHow do I combine 2 maps on the computer?
I'm looking to combine 2 maps.
One is this one: http://gapanalysis.usgs.gov/species/files/2012/05/...
The other one is just a blank political map of the U.S. but with state boundaries.
So basically I want to create a single map that shows everything on the first map I posted, but also shows state boundaries.
How would I do this?
If possible, could you also please dumb it down for me? I know virtually nothing about computer science unfortunately.

2 AnswersGeography8 years agoAre there any federal laws in the U.S. guarding against animal cruelty towards reptiles?
Btw, the Animal Welfare Act isn't valid for this, because it doesn't cover cold blooded animals.
