Small broad-based posterior disk bulge - can you help with my CT results?
I had laser corrective surgery last November with little results and finally gave in and had a fusion two months ago of C5-6. Prior to the laser surgery, the doctor thought I needed at 2-3 level fusion, but later said that the other procedure helped and I only needed one. My neck hurts and is sore, but I hope that its healing. But the pain in my arm that I had before surgery is still there! Does this mean he should have fused C4-5 too??Here is my new CT scan:
Cervical spine MRI without contrast
Procedure: Sagittal and axial sequences were obtained of the cervical
spine without contrast.
Findings: Cord appears of normal size and signal intensity.
Cervicomedullary junction structures are unremarkable appearing.
Diskectomy and spacer placement with anterior fusion plate and screws
present at C5-6. Disc space heights are maintained with some
desiccation of the vertebral disks seen. No MRI evidence of marrow
infiltrative processes demonstrated.
Axial sequences demonstrate at the following levels:
C2-3 and C3-4: Unremarkable.
C4-5: Small broad-based posterior disk bulge partially effaces the
thecal sac anteriorly without significant canal stenosis or foraminal
narrowing.
C5-6: Prior diskectomy and spacer placement. Susceptibility artifact
predominately seen on the axial sequence. No evidence of canal
stenosis or foraminal narrowing.
C6-7 and C7-T1: Unremarkable.
Impression:
1. Post C5-6 fusion changes as described.
2. Posterior disk bulging at C4-5 without significant canal stenosis
or foraminal narrowing.
4 AnswersPain & Pain Management8 years agoWhat to do when passion, attraction, and love fades in long marriage?
I have been married to my husband for 15 years and like any other marriages we have had our ups and downs. He has always worked alot and every weekened. Over the past few years he got confortable and I got used to pretty much being by myself most of the time and when I take the kids places (12 & 4). We have always had kids in our life, he had custody of his 7yr old when we first met and we raised her until she was 17 (she is now 25). I guess in the past my father filled the emtiness of the marriage but after he passed 3yrs ago, the hole is still there and after hitting rock bottom in depression 3mths ago, we are trying to make our marriage work. He changed shifts at work and is trying SO hard to show how much he loves me. But I have lost my passion, attraction and the love for him as a husband. I am trying to get it back, but pretending to have those feelings is so hard to do. They are just not coming back. We are going to different counselors (he just started and I started 3mths ago). My counselor said this is normal and is just part of being married. She says we have kids and get along so just make it work. But it is hard when my husband is around a lot more, and trying so hard.... it is ackward to me. I dont know what to do or say to him. He knows my feelings and hopes they change but does not want to keep me from being happy. I dont know what to do to or how to make my feelings return.
1 AnswerMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoWhat SLR camera is best for taking youth sports photos?
I have been taking photos off and on for about 17 years now. I am starting to do more photography part time and am getting jobs taking photos of youth sports, both posed and action photos. Also I am having people asking me about senior photos. I am looking at purchasing a Nikon D40, D40X or D80. My funds are tight, so I was wondering if I really need the D80 and if the 40's will work?
3 AnswersPhotography1 decade agoSmall catfish with guppies, tiger barbs and other simular fish?
I have several pairs of smaller fish, such as guppies, tigar barbs, mollies, and a bottom feeder. Oh, and I have a 10gallen tank. They are all kinda small, so they seem to have plenty of room to swim around in. I noticed they all stay paired up too and do not seem to bother each other.
6 AnswersFish1 decade agoHow can you tell if Guppy has finished giving birth?
My guppy just had 7 fry but she still has a large dark spot and does not look very different than before giving birth. How long will it take and will the dark spot go away when she is finished??? I have her separated in a smaller tank with a lot of plants for the babies to hid. I already sprinked food (and crushed most of it for the babies) in the tank to hopefully keep her full so she does not eat the babies. I just do not want to keep her in there too long so hopefully the fry will survive.
2 AnswersFish1 decade agoMale guppy bothering pregnant guppy?
I am not sure how far my female guppy is to giving birth, but we are watching her. Her dark spot is growing fast and now the male guppy is harassing her. Is it time to put her in a separate tank? How long does it take for her to have babies and how can you tell if she is getting close?
