  • Telling a friend that another friend has feelings for them. wrong or potentially helpful?

i have two old friends that at the very least like each other. They have slept together a few times in a non-committal, just-for-fun way, and have obvious chemistry. My one friend confides that she has stronger feelings for my other friend, but she doesn't know how he feels so she is too afraid to bring it up, but doesn't want this to make her seem like just a temporary sex toy.

So, I was wondering if it would be wrong if the next time i am drunk at a party and am able to talk to this guy alone to ask how he feels and explain that she is hesitant because she doesn't know where he stands, and then state that if he wasn't interested i would never tell my friend about his reaction. I would want to do this on the chance that I could get them together because I think they'd make a good couple, but would it be a stupid thing to try?

  • help me fabricate a lie?

my boss is also my friend, and she's under the impression i'm working with a group for a project at school. i made this lie up so i wouldn't have to work on labor day (which i assumed i'd have off since my school schedule dictates that i am unavailable mon. through thurs.). it kind of pisses me off that my employer feels entitled to my free time.

anyway, my friend/boss is hanging out with me today, and i'm sure she'll ask how the "group work" went. what can i say in response so as not to say absolutely nothing?

want to make up a story, or tell me a story about group projects of yours?

  • do i have a right to be mad here?

i attend school monday through thursday and work friday through sunday. my availability has been communicated as such to my employer. On labor day, on the knowledge that I have school off, I was scheduled to come into work.

I really needed that day to study, and was told I had to show up. Your opinion?

  • Putting up signs by atm machines instructing Americans to transfer their money to a credit union?

I have nothing better to do today. I'm thinking of doing this to the banks that helped cause the financial melt-down or accepted bail-out money. What do you think? Effective or a waste of time?

  • your impression of a girl that loves animation?

i can enjoy anime, and even shows animated for kids if it's creative enough or has a more adult side to it...uh, i whenever people ask me about my interests i'm too shy to say how much i like animation because i feel like people think you're a dork when you like this kind of thing...

...what would you think of anyone who had this interest?

  • What would you think of a girl with few friends?

I'm 22 and I only really have a very small amount of friends- like about 2 or 3 close friends. Would you date a girl with so few friends?

  • i'm looking for an addicting, interactive online game?

one that you don't have to download, but that just streams from a website or something.

i basically don't have a life, and i need to distract myself badly sometimes, but i'm too cheap to buy a game.

  • what's my deal (i obsess over cartoons)?

I know it's partially for the craft of animation that I enjoy cartoons, but I also get way involved with certain characters- like how you might in a soap opera or something- if that makes sense. It doesn't seem normal. I just usually get into a character or two, and then fantasize about fake scenarios that are usually dramatic and angsty with a dash of romance and create my own story in my head. It's kind of ridiculous.

Anyone want to take a stab at psychoanalyzing me? Why do I do this so often?

My only guess is that because I have social anxiety that this fills the empty space where personal relationships should be since I am guilty of being a bit of an isolate.

    How weird is this?

i'm always paranoid about sounding like an idiot, or being dull. Is that normal? I feel like I become an imbecile when I smoke pot.

  • i have a maybe brilliant idea about how to get your kids to watch less tv!?

own one television set (and computer too, I suppose) and have them in your room. you'll be constantly aware of your kids being in your way cause it's your room so you'll be more aware of the hours they're spending in front of the screen and have the motivation that it is a nuisance to you to have them in there as well.

It's how to motivate yourself to care about their media intake :D

well, I guess I'll return to my state of browsing the internet at random while high :)

  • my poem: comment & critique, please :)?

    picking at your nose

    you've nowhere to go

    no places to be

    that's why you keep quiet

    reliant on themes

    that make old friends sick

    the emotional plug

    that you had undone

    to turn trying days

    into tedious nights

    playing a victim

too slow and alone to fit in

    without any fight

    you never try,

    cause you like your respite

    disappointment's the cost

    for coming out fairly unscathed

    though your heart's underpaid

you lost less than you made

and that's all that you have ever craved

cause wanting has dealt you your worst pain

  • do people at the salon usually give out their card to their clients?

is that something all hairdressers do for every client, or do they only give out their cards to people they think look especially good with their new hair cut to promote themselves?

  • i like being depressed and feeling worthless, and i think i can explain why...?

it's easy to feel depressed and worthless because most people are ordinary, ****-for-brain losers. I think since I think I have nothing going for me that feeling like an outcast makes me feel like an individual (even though that's SO lame), and somewhat negates my feelings of worthlessness...if that makes any goddamn sense at all...

So, I'm going to keep hating myself because being positive and trying hasn't done much. It all just stays the same and I try to be content with everything being lousy and then I say '**** it' and start feeling sorry for myself again.

I dunno. Anyone relate? I'm just bored right now :P
