  • How about Messi tonight?

I think Messi just proves why he is more complete than Cristiano in a game of football. Not only is he a great goal scorer but his playmaking is extraordinary. 3 assist, could of been 4 if Tello would of shot the first goal with more quality.

Tello was clinical today, although the goalie had a couple of touches on his shots, it was still a fantastic performance.

  • Can I change my courses in University ?

Hey, I was wondering when I could change my courses for first year in university.

I am planning to go to York University and I was originally going to go to study Law and but I want to change that to English and History. I want to pursue a career in teaching.

I was wondering "When" should I do it, "How" do I do it? I have heard to do it as early as possible. But how exactly can I get this done?

    Thanks for your help.

  • What is your FIFPro IX ?

    Mine -

    Neuer

Dani Alves - Dante - Thiago Silva - Lahm

    Ribery - Vidal - Iniesta

    Messi - Ibrahimovic - C.Ronaldo

Yes, I will keep Dani Alves because he won confederation and La Liga and Super Copa De Espana. I was thinking of Alaba, but his international success was poor.

  • Are Real Madrid fans being hypocritical?

Before tonights ceremony, they claim that Ballon D'or has lost its credentials due too Messi winning it 4 times. They claim that he didn't deserve the award in 2010 because of Sneijder year. Sneijder played 41 games with 8 goals and 16 assist, that is far inferior to Ribery's stats this year, and they were both Treble winners. If Real Madrid fans feel that Sneijder should of won it due to his treble, then why should Cristiano deserve to win this year? He literally won "nothing" this year & Messi won La Liga the year of 2010.

They also say that Cristiano deserved to win it in 2012? Messi justified himself scoring 91 goals with 25+ assist. No other player in history has score more than 90 goals in a year. Breaking possibly the best record a goal scorer can break ? Gerd Muller held the record at 86 but he played when offside didn't exist. Cristiano won La Liga, Messi won copa del rey and Super Copa De España to Real Madrid.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Cristiano had not won this year despite his great individual effort, but he could of secured the ballon d'or without a doubt if he had won a trophy, regardless of how much its worth, it proves that your goals and assist were valued to a silverware. That is what Messi had done the past 4 years. He never won nothing but scored so much.

I am not saying Cristiano doesn't deserve the award because this year it was a really close tie and any winner truly deserved to win it. Congrats to Cristiano, a true competitor.

  • Is being funny a natural skill ?

This question struck my mind just now.

Growing up I have always been the class clown and one of the funniest amongst my peers in school. I love making other laugh because it makes me feel better about myself. Is being funny just a natural skill? I make people laugh without trying, I feel like it is just apart of who I am, opposed of trying to make people laugh purposely.

I am not talking about people that just make "jokes", because anyone can say a joke and make other laugh. My sense of humour is based more on what I say and do. I guess I am quite the random person and very unpredictable. Wouldn't being funny just a character trait than a skill? You either got it or you don't? My parents aren't the funniest and I have one brother who is the funniest guy I know.

  • University application after one year break?

Hey, I am applying to University after a year break after graduating form high school due to personal and familiar problem, I had good grades and applied last year and got accepted to all universities but I need to re-apply, I still have all my papers from last year and account to apply to University, my question is, can I still use the same account or do I have to do it through a new account due to my one year absence away from education.

    I live in Toronto, Ontario.

  • Chances of getting accepted again ?

Hey, last year I applied to York University and got accepted but I decided to take year off. I am re applying again this year, is their any chance I may not get accepted ?

  • Thoughts on World Cup Groups?

I think these groups kind of turned out better that I thought.

Group A: Brazil, Croatia, Mexico, Cameroon

Group B: Spain, Netherlands, Chile, Australia

Group C: Colombia, Greece, Cote d'Ivoire, Japan

Group D: Uruguay, Costa Rica, England, Italy

Group E: Switzerland, Ecuador, France, Honduras

Group F: Argentina, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Iran, Nigeria

Group G: Germany, Portugal, Ghana, USA

Group H: Belgium, Algeria, Russia, Korea Republic

Group A - Brazil got a good and comfortable group, pretty competitive group but not to challenging for Brazil to struggle. I feel like Croatia will go through in second.

Group B - One of the better groups, I feel Spain will top it but that second spot will be throw up between Netherlands and Chile. I think Chile will go through with that home advantage and how much European teams seem to struggle in South America.

Group C - Colombia got a easy group. Cote D'ivoire should come in second or possible second.

Group D - One of the better groups again. I think Italy and Uruguay will go through. England have been poor I don't see them challenging to two bigger teams. Uruguay is a team with a history of playing great in Brazil so I won't be surprised if they top it.

Group E - One of the weaker groups and, somewhat competitive though. I think France will come out on top following by Ecuador, I don't think Swiss will advance. I think this group is more of avoiding Argentina the following round.

Group F - Argentina got the easiest group out of all the top teams. They have it fairly easy in groups and could face someone fairly easy in the first round. Nevertheless Argentina is another team along with Uruguay who play really well in Brazil. I think they could meet with Germany in the semi's if Germany dont choke or fail to follow their projection.

Group G - One of the better groups. I expect Germany to top it. Fight for second place will be big on this one. USA is always a team to advance to knock outs, Ghana is a strong team and Portugal is surprising one. The second spot will be nerve wrecking.

Group H - One of the weaker groups, Belgium should advance fairly comfortably.

What do you guys think ?

  • Basic Arguments for Ballon D'Or ?

    Club Level

Cristiano - Scored most but won no trophies

Messi - Scored less than Cristiano but won La Liga over Cristiano

Ribery - Had the least goals but won the Treble

    International Level

Cristiano - Shouldn't have been playing Sweden in the first place considering how easy their group was.

Messi - Topped CONMEBOL with top scorer.

Ribery - Was expected to play a qualifier due to Spain being in their group.

    Other

People are saying the only reason Cristiano actually has a shot at winning is because Messi has been injured, in that conclusion that means that Messi would have won it again, if he had not been injured all season.

Who deserves to win it, Ribery in my opinion.

BQ: Would Messi be ranked the greatest ever or along side Pele and Maradona, if Messi decided to play for Spain, considering how much better Spain would of been and they won a WC without Messi, if he had played for Spain?

  • Why would Portugal face France ?

I've heard that Portugal might have to face France to Qualify for the WC. How is this determined? I heard by the FIFA Rankings. Do you think Portugal would beat France? If Portugal were to not qualify, how would this effect his legacy?

  • How do I get into acting?

Hello, I have just finished high school and I haven't gone to post-secondary because i'm very indecisive on what I want to do for the rest of my life. I was leaning towards become a history teacher but I lost my passion. The reason I want to become an actor or at least try it is because my whole life I always been the funny one and just doing something for a living in the form of entertainment will feel as if i'm doing something I like and meant for me.

I have my mom pressuring me to go to University for whatever and she doesn't feel like their is more to life if you don't get a post-secondary education, which however isn't true, then again I understand from where she is coming from because she came from South America and if you didn't go to University, it was hard to become someone. I live in Canada, and the opportunities are endless here, which I am grateful for. I have thought really hard and long for this decision and I want to take acting as a career path. Is it possibly to get into school of arts without having Dramatic Arts credits from High school? I have done it in grade 10 but didn't continue in grade 11 and 12.

Also, how do I break it down to family that I want to pursue this path, I feel a little embarrassed to tell them because I think they will feel as if I am joking but I would want them to take it seriously.

What are other ways to become one? I heard YouTube builds a great portfolio and I love the idea. What other things do you guys suggest.

    Thank you.

  • Do we see ourself in the mirror uglier than others see us ?

I have thought of this several times, my aunts and uncles tell me that I am a handsome guy and had others tell me I am the most handsomest of all my cousins, but obviously they would compliment me because I am their family and they want to make me feel good about myself, but I have had girls at my school tell me that I am cute and and some say handsome as well, but when I look in the mirror I dont see myself as attractive and can't really point somethings out of why would people find me good looking.

I hope this doesn't sound conceited because I am not, I have just questioned this several times.

  • Madrid Derby Predictions ?

What are you guys predictions for the derby tomorrow ?

I think it will be a tough one, hard to say but I am leaning over to Atletico considering they already beat them the last time at the Bernabeu. I am sure the stands of 80,000 people won't affect them as much. I hope their is no controversy because this match is expected to live up to its hype.

What are you predictions and why ?

BQ: Prediction for Tottenham v Chelsea ? Will chelsea lose 3 in a row ? (well excluding the league cup.) I say tottenham 3-1

  • How much will Cristiano score this season?

The main heat on today is the fact that Özil has left Madrid. I feel it for them, I have watched Madrid back when Los Galatico's first dream team was assembled. Don't get thrown off because I support Barcelona and I am firing shots at them, no that is not my intention. I respect and love my rivals.

Let's spit a bit of truth right now. Do you guys feel that we may see a decrease of goals from Cristiano? If we look at the time Ozil has arrived at Madrid, a high precent of Ronaldo's goal tally comes from Özil passes, a rough estimate like +80%. Also, Xabi Alonso is injured and that is another player who provides assist to Cristiano. Di Maria is the only one who is healthy but plays inconsistently but when he plays good, he links with Ronaldo just perfectly. I'm not saying #DOM (Death of Madrid), because its not, Madrid will still be a great team but I dont think Bale nor even a good in-form Isco can replace the brilliance of Ozil. I think Madrid dropped the ball here hard, if gaining Bale means losing Ozil then the verdict must be a failed transfer.

Isco and Bale are great players but Madrid can't be transitioning great positions every year, you cant just pull a miracle year and expect chemistry to hit the cap, when will Madrid ever be set stone with their squad. Madrid is possibly the greatest team on 'paper' but translating that onto the pitch, their not.

My prediction Cristiano will score 40-45 goals this season, he is already not off to a great start and it wont get any easier since his 'wing man' is gone, I am sure Cristiano does not agree to this.

BQ: Do you guys think Cristiano will leave the following season? I think he will, now that Ozil is gone, and he is yet to sign a contract extension and denied rumours himself via twitter a couple months back shows proof, his love for Madrid is dying off.

Good Luck to Madrid and the rest of the season, I wish them all the best and same for Ozil. I am really curious for Madrid fan opinion.

  • Barcelona and Real Madrid groups?

What are your thoughts on the groups? who do you think will come out alive?

I think Barcelona and Milan will advance, while Real Madrid and Juventus will too.

What about Sociadad group, i am hoping they can come out too with Manchester United.

I think Atletico got the easiest of the four, so i will expect them to come out too.

Good year for Spanish football ? I think all four will advance, if not, Sociadad will be left behind.

  • Messi is the best, it is not even debatable!?

It is 6-0 at half time, Messi was involved in the first five goals with two goals, one assist and the other two created by him. Is there really any point of Cristiano being compared by him ?

  • FC Barcelona vs Levante ?

What are your thoughts on the game so far?

FC Barcelona attack is looking really deadly and precise, there is no doubt in this team it is as solid as usual. Pedro, Messi, Sanchez chemistry seems to have been immensely great. I wish Iniesta was playing though !

  • Real Talks about Cristiano Ronaldo.?

Before I post this thread, please no trolls or Madrid band wagoners (Biased Opinion). Feel free to express yourself without criticism.

Keep in mind, I respect and appreciate Cristiano game but I think it is far fetched.

So would you honestly 'rate' Cristiano Ronaldo in the Top 10 to ever played the game?

I honestly think, Cristiano will not make this list, considering he plays second best to Messi, he won't. & if he does than that will only mean Messi is to and a place higher.

I hope this won't ignite Cristiano fan boys to bleed for their vaginas, but, Cristiano is just a pure goalscorer, truly a versatile goal scorer but that doesn't necessarily mean he is better than Messi. If versatility was the factor to a better goal scorer than Falcao, Cavani, or Ibrahimovic would all be better than Messi, but it isn't. Also, that 'he is a winger' excuse is old and proves nothing for Cristiano considering he is a in-cutting winger and looking at his position in "heat maps", he is the highest player on the pitch for Real Madrid so he practically plays a Left Forward position.

Saying Cristiano is better because he played in the EPL is not a reason. Matter of a fact, look at the best players of all time and George Best is the only one to play in the EPL and he perhaps may not even be in the 'Top 10'. I will say, Cristiano is one of the best ever to play in the EPL.

If we look at the best of all time, majority to almost all played in Spain, Italy and Germany without playing for an English side.

Since the sport has such a history for great players I doubt Cristiano steps on the level of Maradona, Pele, Ronaldo, Zidane, Crujff, Beckenbauer, Platini, Ronaldinho, Romario, Rivaldo, George Best, Garrincha, Zico, Nedved, Baggio, Maldini, Di Stefano, Seedorf, etc. The only player of this generation who can contend for those titles is realistically Messi.

Conclusion, Cristiano is a great players no doubt, but I wouldn't consider him Top 10 if he is second to another man in his generation. If anything, I will admit that Cristiano Ronaldo can be and in my opinion is the most complete ATHLETE the sport has seen but at the end of the day, all these players mentioned, play football, not a track & field event. For Cristiano to be considered the best his skills of the game must be remembered, not his physique. His playmaking ability to no where near at the level of Messi, that is why Messi is better. Messi is a better and more complete footballer but Cristiano is a better athlete.

I don't support Real Madrid nor Barcelona but I stick to the facts and outlines and my experience of watching the beautiful game.

    What are your thoughts?
