  • Fashion internship or luxury brand job?

I am majoring in Apparel Merchandising (w/Business Minor), and I am currently planning things out for next summer. I could be interning for Urban Outfitters next summer, but I could also be working for Hugo Boss as a sales associate.

I feel like Hugo Boss is a luxury global brand that could really boost my retail experience. I ve already done a retail internship this fall, therefore, an internship for next summer is not needed, but it d be nice. I m not sure if working as a sales associate at a luxury brand is better or if I should follow through with the internship? Which would be more beneficial for my career? Thank you!

  • Does my ex still have feelings for me?

So originally, we were best friends and we wanted to be more than that so we dated for 2 months. Unfortunately, a friend of mine liked him as well and i was unaware of this. I was hurting her but I didn't know what to do because I wanted this relationship but I was also hurting my friend's feelings, therefore, I couldn't be fully myself during our relationship. I mean, we held hands and made out, but he decided to break up cuz there was nothing romantic btwn us. I agreed cuz there were things that were getting in the way of the relationship (making sure my friend was okay). After one day since the break-up, he's already flirting with me as if we started all over again. I said i wanted to talk to him about making sure my friend was okay but he came to the extent of skipping mandatory sports practice to talk to me. Then, he said "I will always be here for you." He would bring up guys who he thought I'd find attractive. This all happened within one week of our break-up so i'm really confused. So does he still have feelings for me? Is it even possible to truly be friends with an ex?

  • What to wear to Hollister interview?

I have an interview this week @ Hollister and I want to be professional yet show them that I have a Hollister style. I was recruited by a guy who worked there and I was wearing a navy skirt with a white cardigan. Should I wear the same style to the interview? It'd be a white skirt (not short or tight), with a navy cardigan, and flip flops. I know about the minimum make-up rule so I'll be wearing mascara, blush, and light lip gloss. Would all this be appropriate to the interview? Thanks

  • Calculate the specific heat of an unknown metal?

So I'm given everything to plug into the equation of (q= s(specific heat) x m(mass) x (Change in T) except for the specific heat of the metal, and I know that the heat gained by the water is lost by the metal, but I'm kinda stuck on solving this equation and narrowing it down. This is what I have so far....

    (4.184 J/g*C) (40g) (30.1-26.1*C) = (S) (40.121g) (30.1-100*C)

    669.44 J = (S) (40.121g) (30.1-100*C)

Idk, the temp. change of the metal just doesn't look right but I double checked all my data. Help would be appreciated. thanks!

  • Finding the specific heat?

I am struggling with this problem and I haven't gotten anywhere with it. First, a 40.121g of unknown metal is dropped into 40g of water at 26.1 degrees C and the final temp. was 30.1 degrees C. I need to find the change in temp. for the metal but I don't even know what the specific heat is because it's UNKNOWN metal. I plugged in the numbers and this is what it looks like...

    (4.184 J/g*C)(40g)(30.1*C-26.1*C)=(Specific Heat)(40.121g)(Final temp - Initial temp)

    (4.184 J/g*C)(40g)(4*C)=(Specific Heat)(40.121g)(Final temp - Initial temp)

    669.44 J=(S)(40.121g)(Final temp - initial temp)

And this is where I'm stuck at. Help would be much appreciated. thanks!

  • First time doing cross country?

I've been running 2-3 miles (I know it's not much) but running with the humidity has been brutal. I'm gonna be attending the first practice sometime this week and I'm really afraid if I will be able to handle the difficulty of XC. I've been running track for 3 years so I'm more of a sprinter. This shift from sprinter to endurance runner seems like it's not gonna be easy in this sport. Any major tips you could give me such as running technique, endurance training, or calming down nerves? Thanks!

  • Conditioning in little time for cross country?

I've been running on a daily basis before i left for vacation. After vacation, I kinda stopped and now I just realized that I have 2 weeks to get in shape for the first practice of cross country. What is the best thing I can do in the mean time to level myself with the other runners? Do I run based on mileage or time? Thanks!

  • What is causing the growing pain in my legs?

I googled "growing pain" and everything is about growing pain when it comes to children. I'm 16 and I'm pretty sure growing shouldn't hurt. Anyway, I've been running like crazy recently. Could that be the cause of it? Overworking my muscles or legs? Thanks

  • Blood type diet? (Type A)?

I'm blood type A and I read that a vegetarian diet best corresponds to my blood type but i also read that moderate-intensity exercise (yoga, tai-chi, meditation) should be done. I'm a runner and definitely not a fan of something steady or slow. What would happen if I did pretty intense exercise throughout my life? Would it affect me in any way?

  • Bored of running on treadmill? Alternatives?

It's raining and storming outside, and I would usually run outside if it weren't for the weather. Running on the treadmill is THE most boring thing I've ever done...even if I'm watching tv or listening to music. Are there any alternatives that gives me the same benefits as cardio indoors? I did strength training yesterday. I don't have a stationary bike.

  • Cons of "0 calorie" or "diet" soft drinks?

I read the nutrition label of a diet mountain dew: code red. It said 0 calories and 0 sugar. I'm sure they used no calorie artificial sweetener. It seems too good to be true so there has to be a bad side to drinking this pop. What are they?

  • Should I take Spanish or French?

I've taken Spanish l and Spanish ll and I'm not a huge fan of it so far. I've aced the class but I'm not interested in the language. I'm more interested into French and I was curious if it's easier. I don't like the conjugations in Spanish, so before you have to say something, you have to think about what kind of tense and conjugation. Would French be easier? Thanks

  • Running in humid weather?

I have a mile make-up in P.E. class and I just started running and conditioning. It's been 7 weeks since I've last ran due to my broken ankle so I'm getting back on track. I've realized from my runs that I'm very dehydrated and that I get shortness of breath quickly. I'm not out of shape, it's just humid conditions aren't my preferable running conditions. Plus, I was a runner previously before I broke my ankle. Will drinking water drastically change my performance, and what running techniques could help me endure these conditions? I want this mile run to be as fluent as ever. Thanks so much!

  • Why is my camera running out of battery so quickly?

I was using my camera and recording video w/ it for my group project and when not even an hour had passed by, it ran outta battery! I even fully charged it. I have the SONY DSC-TX100V model. My picture capacity is pretty much used up so would the battery life extend if I deleted most of the pictures? Why is this happening? I'm gonna have to use it again to finish the other half of my project. thanks!
