  • Coming out advice for a friend? (Could someone please answer, it's 3rd time I've asked this today)?

Well, I have a friend who recently came out as being female-to-male transsexual and well he's pansexual (likes people based on personality and not gender) but came out to his parents as a lesbian a while back and his parents have been fine with that. He's just kinda worried that his parents will be less accepting of him being transsexual though as it is going to be a big change.

I'm actually trans myself, except male-to-female, but when I came out to my parents it was in a middle of an argument so my advice isn't going to be that useful to be honest, so...

Is there any advice you could give my friend on coming out to his parents?

I'm gonna be giving him a link to this question so he can read the answers, so if you wish to address it as if this were his question, that's fine.

Btw, if you've noticed my points are suspiciously low, its because I have several accounts on yahoo, well old accounts most of them, this is one of my old ones but I've reached the asking limit on my main one for today.

  • What should the ranks be?

Seen as my main account doesn't appear to be working I'll have to ask it in this one for now:

I'm writing a series of film scripts based on a second Great British Empire and in my scripts humanity is at war with a hostile alien race called the Cargarians, the war lasts some time and in that time the United States Military, who play a major role in the war set up a task forced called the Cargarian Annihilation Unit (C.A.U.) who are specially trained in combating Cargarians.

The highest ranking member of the unit answers to the President only, and no one else within the military, no military force has authority over what the C.A.U. does, they authority remains with the President and the highest rank within the C.A.U. The C.A.U. has three ranks in total, you have basic soldiers (basic in C.A.U. terms, to even get into the C.A.U. you really have to stand out), you have squad leaders then you have the highest rank who is the go between for the squad leaders and the President.

In my scripts the C.A.U. would most likely be an arm of the marines as it is a water, air and land force and therefore would most likely have ranks used in the United States Marines. Just I've been trying to assign each of the 3 levels within the unit ranks but I cannot make much sense of military ranking.

So considering the C.A.U. is an arm of the United States Marines, it only has 3 ranks and is composed of highly skilled soldiers what would you suggest the 3 ranks in the C.A.U. should be?

  • What is your view on gay jokes? Offensive or just for fun?

Before I came out as being a male-to-female transsexual, I was always really defensive and insulted by gay jokes, mainly cos the people saying them were using them as an intent to bully me. God knows why they called me gay cos you can't even tell I'm trans, also I don't like men, I like girls. Right now people still can't tell I'm trans, when I come out to a new person, people are pretty shocked at what they are hearing, lol.

Moving away from my homophobic mother soon though, so I'll soon be myself and they people will most definitely know my intent to become a woman, lol.

Anyway, when I finally came out, 2 years before I graduated high school, all the people who used to bully me became some of my closest friends and well the gay jokes still continued, but I kinda lightened up and even began to realise the humour in them and I was finding them less offensive, being able to laugh along and understand them made me feel more like I fitted in and more included and I guess me being less offended help me gain true friends. Also I feel it's good to be able to laugh at yourself now and again.

To be honest, I have heard some gay jokes that cross the line, but overall I can more or less laugh along to most. It's kinda help me to one, be happier and two, get some very close, permanent friends and so far, other than my mother, I haven't had one person who hasn't accepted me when I've come out.

What is your view on gay jokes?

  • What do you think of "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry"?

I'm just curious cos I know a lot of LGBTs who find the film rather insulting.

Personally, I think it is just having a laugh and I don't find it insulting, from hanging with straight mates all through High School who were really supportive of my sexuality, I've always been pretty easy going with gay jokes and able to laugh along to them. So I kinda like the film.

    What about you?

  • How long do you reckon before the US gives the vote and legalisation of gay marriage under...?

    ...the federal government?

With President Obama I reckon pretty soon.

  • Do you think this is fair of US religious communities on Gay Rights?

Well my girlfriend who i love very much lives in Texas, USA and I live in cthe UK, now British Government and immigration recognise gay marriage but US federal do not but my girlfriend really wants to stay in the US near her family and I also would really prefer to leave Britain and live in the US but immigration is just too tough so a dream of living together as wife and wife in the US seems miles away, but I was reading a news artical yesterday from Canada's Vancouver Sun and since 2006 with the coming of new younger voters in both religious and non-religious communities the polls for gay rights have risen dramatically and political statistics especially with the coming of Obama suggest one final push for the legalisation of gay marriage and equality of rights.

Religion though however was brought up as an issue, now religious communities even the ones dead against homosexuality have said they will vote for gay rights and the legalisation of gay marriage however they are worried that if they do this they...

  • Why does the Queen even bother giving out a speech on Commonwealth Day?

I'm British and well tomorrow is Commonwealth Day, celebrating the alliance of 59 countries all with the common belief of democracy, equality, abolishment of poverty, peace, etc.

On this day the head of the Commonwealth, the Queen of England gives a speech, now I know Canada out of the 59countries is the only country that bothers celebrating but what has really got to me, being British and living within one of the Commonwealth nations I want to respect my heritage and record and listen to the Queen's speech yet npot a single channel within the UK is airing the speech.

Why does the Queen even bother?

Her own nation won't even air it along with 57 other countries that should, only Canada has the respect, ok, it may be boring to listen to and there my be many reasons not to bother, but it is part of our culture and heritage, 59countries and yet we can't be bothered to respect that culture and heritage, the only country with the respect to is Canada and to say it's the British Commonwealth, if Britain has...

  • How to stop guys pouncing on me on Playstation Home?(LGBT related)?

Well I was on Playstation Home for the first time yesterday and I was on for an hour or two and within that time about 7 guys had pounced on me to try and flirt with me or get my number and one guy asked if I wanted to see his penis cos he has a webcam and 'I went no i'm a lesbian' and he was still being persistant that I look and even when i said I had a girlfriend as well, still persistant, walked away the *** follows. Eventually I found another lesbian girl by coincidence and we went somewhere quite to talk and then a huge group of lads followed us I wouldn't leave us alone or respect that we don't like dick.

Ok admittedly there's very few girls on there but I'm sure there's plenty of straight ones. Besides even if I did bat that way, I have a girlfriend and I'm engaged to her.

How can i stop guys pouncing on me and stalking me on Playstation Home?

For those who don't know it's a chatroom on the PS3 and I think PSP.

  • Did you find 'Blackadder Goes Forth: Goodbye' touching and emotional?

I just think that final episode of 'Blackadder Goes Forth' well yeah it was comical but not as comical as the first 5 in the series, it really seemed to touch the issues of the war, how when recruiting British and German soldiers were both lied too being told how great the war would be, how they felt really popular when they joined and then found themselves sitting miserably in the trenches watching as their friends one by one died in battle and wondering if they'd be next.

It mentions the cease fire between Britain and Germany on Christmas Day when they sang Silent Night and had a game of football on no mans land and the end with the Poppy Fields where Germany and Britain once met with their guns.

I found it really touching, still comical but it did for me seem to show the issues of the war.

  • Do you find this stupid?

Right, I'm a 16year old pre-op male-to-female transsexual and I'm out to anyone who asks, now i prefer to be called Lily but I don't mind if people call me by my male name.

But at school a group of kids have started calling me Lily as if trying to insult me or sommat or to get me to react, really these kids are trying to call me names by calling me something i want to be called. What the hell? How the hell is that going to get at me?

  • Have you noticed words like lesbian and gay being treat like swear words?

A while back on a bus I was talking to my sister about lesbians and gays and I never even said what they meant so no little kid would understand them unless they'd been taught about them, then some woman has ago at me cos she had a little kid, who wouldn't even understand what lesbian or gay meant and she acted as if I just taught her child the f*** word.

On music videos I've heard it edited out and the song originally goes:

'Go tell your friends I'm obsessive and crazy, that's fine I'll tell mine you're gay' but in the music video it was edited to 'Go tell you friends i'm obsessive and crazy, that's fine you won't mind if I stay' which doesn't even make sense in the lyrics.

Have you noticed words like lesbian and gay which are merely sexualities being treat like swear words?

  • I keep getting testosterone surges and they're making me aggressive?

Well every now and again me and my girlfriend talk about sex and well testosterone being the sex hormone i get a surge of it, but i never actually release that energy in a sexual form and seen as my girlfriend is 15 I wouldn't have sex with her until she's of age and also she lives an ocean away.

Anyway I know quite a bit about testosterone and its two primary functions in the human body whether it is male or female and that's sex or fighting and because I haven't had sexual ways to release the energy, it's nobodies fault but it's making me aggressive and sometimes I feel like stabbing people and stuff, i wanting to hit things so hard, i almost broke my foot kicking a concrete wall last time I had one and seen as I'm a pre-op male-to-female transsexual, testosterone is a hormone I hate running through my viens and it's just making me so aggressive when I get a surge going through me.

    Please help?

I actually am pretty dangerous when I have them, I literally feel like stabbing people for no reason and it's..

  • Did you find Fallout 3's ending disappointing?

I found it touching and it gave a brilliant image on humanities faults and that and the sacrifice of the character's life is brillaint and very touching I just think it would have been nice that maybe by some miracle you could live so you could just rome the wasteland and have fun afterwards and I found it really disappointing that you can't.

    Did you find it disappointing?

  • Would I be able to get into a lesbian bar?(not as stupid as it sounds)?

Well anyway, I'm not interested in flirting or anything, just making some more like minded friends and to find somewhere to chill when i turn 18 and hang with mates. I'm not searching for that special someone though as I already have her and she's my wonderful Evira who I'm engaged to.

Anyway, the reason i've asked this question is cos I'm a pre-op male-to-female transsexual, so I'm still a guy currently and by 18 unless some miracle happens I'll still be a a guy, i intend to get a sex change and have already started treatment and have a confirmed diagnosis of GID but i still have ages to go before I reach the stage of RLE, hormones and SRS and all that lot.

Will I be able to get into a lesbian bar when I turn 18 as I technically will be a lesbian, just not in the right body and I've already said I'm not interested in flirting or anything, I just wanna make friends and hang out.

Will I be able to get in a lesbian bar at 18?

Btw, i live in the UK not the US, here it's 18 not 21 for age to drink alcohol...

  • Why did Rockstar Leeds make GTA Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories?

Wouldn't have just been easier to have Rockstar North and Rockstar Games make them as usual cos they did also make them along with Rockstar Leeds but seen as Rockstar Leeds is based in Britain and tomy knowledge Rockstar North and Games is based in the US wouldn't have been easier just to have Rockstar North and Games make them on their own as usual.

I just don't see the logic in having a branch of the company so far away being brought into the making of the games.

Why did Rockstar Leeds have involvement in making GTA Lirbety City and Vice City Stories?

  • Should she live or die?

i just write it simply to not give anything away and to make it short, I'm writing a series of sci-fi books and in the 7th a guys daughter gets taken hostage and his daughter is the last thing he's got left, he could save her and risk the lives of billions, especially the female citizens or he could let her die and save billions but lose everything he loves and has to fight for.

Should I have his daughter live or die?
