13 AnswersHorses1 decade agoMy dog is losing her fur?
My dog is a 5 year old golden retriever and in the past 2-3 weeks has been losing her fur. This is not just shedding.. Her fur is falling out in chunks... She did this earlier sometime this year and we took to the vet and they ran some blood tests and said she was fine. So this time we didn't think to take her, but it is much worse than the time before. She is losing it all up her hind legs and now up the sides of her back, just the thick fur is going though. Once a chunk falls off there is still a thin undercoat beneath. Last time this happened we changed her food to a healthier brand and put her on fish-oil pills and she looked better within a week. But she is still on the healthier food and we put her back on fish-oils about 2 weeks ago and she is still losing fur like this... we didn't want to take her to the vet and spend 200$ to find out she is fine and just going through a phase. What should I do?
6 AnswersDogs1 decade agobreeches : full seat or knee patch?
so i have recently switched from hunters to eventing. i am going soon to get some new breeches for my upcoming show in November. as far as for dressage goes, do you prefer full seat or knee patches? a friend told me that she prefers full seat for dressage and knee patches for jumping. i have only ridden in knee patch, so im curious about full seat, share your opinion?
this is probably not relevant but i am doing novice.

2 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agohorse training barns alpharetta ga?
I am looking for a barn that trains, breaks, or retrains horses. I want to be a horse trainer when I get out of college so I would like to get some experiance with training. I ride hunter jumper though I am interested in eventing, I have been ridding for 3 years and showing for 2. I am only 15 years old and turning 16 in June, I am looking for somewhere I can help out and learn about training. I have trained a horse to pick up its leads and flying lead changes but thats about it. I am exspecially interested in the training/breaking of younger horses, or off the tracks TBs. Any barn names/websites in near or around alpharetta area would be appericated :) Thank You
