How do I record satellite television to my computer?
We have DISH network and I want to record a few movies and shows onto the computer's hard drive and then to a DVD. Do I need to have DVR to do this or can I do it with just a few cords or a special recording device? Is there a special recording device for this or do I have to plug my computer into the receiver somehow?

I am getting a house that has an extra bedroom. Do you know if there is a way that I can offer it up for people to come and stay for a couple of days or a week at as an alternative to a hotel? Kind of like a bed and breakfast, but with only one room?
5 AnswersOther - Destinations1 decade agoPost c-section muscle pain?
I had a c-section almost 5 weeks ago. A week and a half after the c-section I developed a small staph infection which I got taken care of right away and it went away quickly. Unfortunately, that side of the incision took a very long time to close and the skin is still slightly open about 1 inch long. The area is very sore, but the doctor claims it is just the nerves growing back together. To me it feels like the muscle is still open or there is an infection inside. The muscles are extremely sore--as if I pulled them while lifting something really heavy (I haven't) and the soreness goes both 6 inches above and below the area where the incision stayed open too long. It is also harder and raised in that area compared to the other side of the incision. Has anybody dealt with anything like this before?

I thought of taking so many things that might be considered a liquid...most of which are well over the 3 oz limit. Any ideas? I am looking things that could be a complete meal in case she doesn't like the meal provided.
4 AnswersAir Travel1 decade agoHow do you burn a CD with Vista?
Okay, I upgraded my computer to a 1.5Gig RAM and a 2.6GhZ Dual processor, but because of vista it takes me WAY longer to burn a disc than it used to on my older, slower computer when I used Nero. Unfortunately, I don't want to pay for the upgraded Nero, although Vista apparently is supposed to burn discs. Am I doing something wrong here? I insert the disc and vista pops up with an option box and I click on burn to Disc using windows (I have to use live mode because the master mode always claims that I don't have a blank disc inserted). I open the folder I want to drag from and select a file that is only 92MB. It then calculates that this puny file will take between 30 and 45 minutes to burn...what gives???? BTW I have 2 burner drives, and have tried both unsuccessfully and I have also tried multiple types of blank CDs.

14 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoShould I take my stoller on an international flight with a stop? My child is 2 years old.?
I have an umbrella stroller and I think it would be nice to stroll my toddler around the airport instead of relying on her small steps to get us where we need to go in a timely manner. The problem is that I don't want to bother taking the stoller if I won't be able to have it during our 2 hour layover because we have a stroller available to us at our destination. Also, do you know if since I had to pay for her to have her own seat if the stroller counts as check in luggage for her, or is it counted as mine?
13 AnswersAir Travel1 decade agoMy passport was washed, do I need a new one?
Has anyone out there had problems with having a passport accepted? Everything on the passport is still perfectly legible, but the inside is very warped and wrinkled. It was washed during our last trip to Germany and we didn't have a problem getting home, but someone told me today that it would be risky to try to use it.
