  • Why does my heart beat so fast!?

Im a 15 yr old female.

I was born with a fast heart beat so I always had it. You can hear my pulse from my back and my stomach. I think that my heart rate increases pretty quick during physical activity. Sometimes, my heart beats so strong that it movess my entire body ever so slightly. Sometimes, I can hear it through my ear when I lie down. I can feel my heart beat, or maybe the pressure of the beat or blood down my body. Its almost like a very light pulse that goes down to my chest, down my spine and down my legs to my knees. This doesn't happen all the time, but I think that ive gotten use to it so I dont really think much of it.

Is this normal? Should I be conerned or should I see a doctor? Thank you

  • Why does my Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini take forever to charge?

I got my phone at the end of June 2014 so its been about 6 months. When I first got it, I experienced no problems with it. It took between an hour to 1.5 hours to fully charge from 0%. I still use the original charger, but now it takes about 3 hours. I have no idea why.

The battery lasts fine. I dont think I abused it. I think its the charger. There are no bends or damaged areas in the wire, but I think it might be defective now. Any chargers that may work better?

Maybe LG, HTC, or Apple? Past phones of my family were LG and HTC, and the iPhone 5s that my sister has. Should I test them out? Or is there something else I can do if the chargers dont work better?

    Thank you so much!!! ^-^

  • I feel like I dont fit into my new school... PLEASE HELP!?

Im currently in grade 10. For the past month, ive felt like crap going to this new school. I feel like everyone knows everyone because they all went to school together and I just want some friends to hang out with and people I can trust. The weird thing is... people here are nice but yet, I am intimidated by certain people. usually the very outspoken ones. I used to be like that but I gradually became more shy. This new school is literally 85% italians and white kids and that pisses me off because in my other highschool, I was in the group where it was all different cultures and backgrounds. I called it the multi-cuktural group.

Here, its the white kids in one corner and the darker skinned in one group OR the poplar kids in one group and the weird, anti-social and awkward kids in one group. I dont exact;u fit into either and im having trouble talking to some people because of what they might think of me. How do I break out of my bubble and socialize when Im in a new environment where I feel intimidated by practically everyone and I'm an outcast?

  • New city, new school, new people!? HELP!?

This summer, I moved to a new city, almost like a village. It's pretty undeveloped. My school is a 10 min drive and all shopping stores are 15 mins away where we need to drive over a highway to get to. Im starting my sophomore year in high shool and its pretty nerve racking. How do I be more social and get to know people on the first day? I know he first day is about the impression and I dont really know what to do, espeically in an area in not familiar with. I dont know how the people act and dress around here. Btw, if you were wondering, I moved to Vaughan, ON.

What is your opinion on my legs? (pic included)?

I am, in no way, "fishing for compliments" nor am I looking for dishonest opinions. I just want your honest opinion on my legs. No one has ever commented on them so I am sort of curious what you think. Do you think they are twiggy, skinny, muscular, normal, etc...? They are in neutral position.

  • Should I workout while on my period (read all)?

I'm 15 and I had my period for just over a year now. I have a heavy flow and I sometimes get cramps.

I just got my period last night and I knew it was coming because I was having fatigue, bloating and low blood pressure 2 days before and I couldn't do proper workouts.

I workout 6 days a week and I have 1 break/recovery day (Sunday) which is far from today. My period lasts between 5-7 days and I usually don't get cramps but I'm having a pretty bad one right now and it's painful to walk. It's been about 20 mins.

My workout consists of 20 mins cardio (17 mins constant running with increasing speed the longer I go and 3 mins warm up and cool down. Then I do 15-20 mins muscle building and toning.

I expect my cramps to go away in a few mins and I'll be fine. I dont usually get cramps this bad, or cramps at all

Do you think I should take it easy or stuck to my regular workouts? NOTE: I do bleed more while running and I already have a heavy flow so it could drain more blood out of me, leaving me feeling exhausted and "drained"

  • Am I the only girl who doesn't count when my period comes?

I'm 15 and I got my period in June of 2013 do it's been just over a year that I've had it. Since I know my period is irregular (usually comes between 4-6 weeks) and will be for a few years, I don't stress over my late period because it normal. My period lasts anywhere between 5-7 days. For me, it usually comes at night time and it's pretty heavy but I make sure to wear a maxi pad if I'm getting symptoms. Am I the only one who doesn't count the exact day or really care that much about our period?

  • Why is my blood bright red!?

I'm a 15 year old girl and I noticed that my blood is bright red. I am not on my period and I'm not anemic. I cut my finger and the blood was bright red and more watery than normal. On July 5th I began working out and eating healthy And I'm starting to think that it is due to low blood sugar and lack of certain minerals or vitamins. About 4 days ago I fainted due to low blood sugar (in the morning) and since then, my blood pressure has been very low and I could tell because when I stand up about 30 seconds after being in a sitting or lying position (especially after sleeping), I black out for about 30-45 seconds.

Why is my blood colour so light? If it is due to lack of certain minerals, which supplements should I take? Or is it due to low blood sugar?

PS. I believe i consume enough sodium

  • I've been working out for almost 3 weeks and no results!?

    I am a 15 year old female.

I started working out on Saturday July 5th and I've been working out and eating healthy for almost 3 weeks and I have no idea why I am not seeing any results! Its been exactly 16 days now This is my workout plan:

Cardio: 20 mins (16 mins jogging, 4 mins walking/cool down)

10-15 mins stretching/small muscle building exercises (using my own body mass as my weight)

I fill my diet up with fruits and veggies and I reduce my carb intake. When I eat pasta (whole wheat), rice or potatoes, I eat half as much as I should and fill the other half with veggies and salad. I almost completely cut away bread (whole wheat and white even tho I don't eat white accept burger/hotdog buns) down to half a slice per day, sometimes no bread at all. I cut out added sugar but then one day, I fainted due to low blood sugar so I knew at that point that I was taking this too far. Now I limit my sugar intake but I dont completely cut it out. There have been many times where I craved carbs and sugar but I knew it would only sabotage my diet so I didnt eat it. I dont limit my salt and fat intake but I dont eat that much to begin with. I havent seen any results... My legs only firmed up slightly and in 20 mins I could run 1.50 miles but now I can do 1.62 miles ( or km... my treadmill doesnt say km or miles). I believed I weighed in at 109 and now I weigh 108 but it could simply be a mistake of the scale or water or clothing. Is it normal to not see results this late?

  • Is this a healthy diet (please read all)?

I'm 15 years old and I've decided that I want to get fit. I have 2 months to do so before school starts. I started on July 5th and since then I think I've been doing good so far. I do 20 mins of cardio (5 mins walking, 15 jogging including 2 mins of intense sprinting) and 10-15 of strength and flexibility exercises. This is what I ate today and I want to know if this is healthy enough to help me shed a few pounds:

Sometimes I take supplements like vitamin C and D, zinc and calcium/magnesuim combo

    morning: 9:30am

    - oatmeal w/ flax seed, wheat germ, blueberries and strawberries, 1 tsp natural syrup and some cinnamon

-about 1 cup of water before lunch

    afternoon: 12:30pm

-pasta with homemade sauce (chopped kale, onion, mushroom, herbs and tomato sauce)

    3:30pm

-green tea, 1 slice of whole wheat bread (I was craving carbs)

    evening: 7:30pm

    - salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, nectarine, handful of almonds)

    -1 banana

For the rest of the day I will drink water, no food

1.) should I be drinking more water?

2.) Is this a healthy diet and exercise combination?

  • How to start using tampons?

I'm 15 years old and I need some help...

Just a couple days ago, it came to me that I never pay any attention to my sexuality. I don't regularly check what's happening down there and I used to masturbate a little but I just don't get the urge anymore. I never actually inserted anything inside me, it was mostly just stimulation which didn't cause much pleasure anyway.

I had my period for just over a year now so I know that I have a vagina for sure. I'm planning on using tampons because my flow is heavy (I use maxi pads) and tampons are more hygienic. I also plan on being more active such as jogging, swimming, etc. The only problem is my vagina hole is very very small. No seriously, I tried poking at it with a cotton swab and finding out how I can fit it in but it just doesn't go in. It's slightly painful, nothing I can't handle, but I don't want to think that I know what I'm doing when I don't. I don't want to ruin anything down there. And I know the vagina is at an angle but I can't figure out how to get anything inside if I'm planning on using a tampon within the next 6 months

So here are the questions I want answered:

1.) How do I stretch my vagina enough over a few weeks to fit a tampon? (please provide detailed instructions)

  • How do I put my music back after updating my PC?

A few weeks ago my dad had someone come in to update my computer from Windows Vista to Windows 7.

I asked everything to be removed but I forgot about the music and it's all deleted from my PC. However, the music is still on my iPod Touch 3G. If is matters. It was exactly 811 songs. I want to copy all of the music from my iPod Touch to iTunes, version 11.2.2.3. But when I go "sync music" and I check off the box, a window opens saying: "Are you sure you want to remove existing music, movies, TV shows, books and tones from this iPod and sync with this iTunes Library?"

So I'm guessing that everything accept apps will be removed from my iPod. I want to copy the music from my iPod into my existing iTunes, and then sync with the new iTunes (I collected a few songs I want to sync into my iPod). How do I copy the music from my iPod into the new iTunes?

  • I'm feeling drained but I have no idea why!?

I am a freshman in high school and a 15 year old female.

Recently, within the past 2-3 weeks, I've been exhausted for no particular reason. I feel like I'm under pressure. Exams are coming up but I haven't been studying a lot. I just feel exhausted. I go to sleep at 10:30-11:00pm and wake at 7:00-7:30. When I wake, I feel okay and moderately rested. By 2:30pm, I feel tired and I hardly do any work in school from that point on. School ends at 3:10 and I walk for over 30 mins to get to and back home. I slept for about 1 hour but I meant to sleep for 30 mins. Even after the nap I don't feel rested. I don't know if it's the weather. but Canada's weather has been crappy for me. I hate hot and humid weather, and that's how the weather has been lately where I live. I have a headache right now as I type and I have a lab due within the next 3 hours and I'm not even halfway done. I feel lazy and unmotivated. My mind is constantly racing with stupid thoughts what I shouldn't even be thinking about. For example, while I'm walking I would be looking at the ground. I spot an ant ant and my mind starts racing with weird thoughts like: what if I was an ant? What would I do? I HONESTLY CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE.... I feel like Im wasting my energy on crap and I need to block out these random thoughts for the nest 2-3 weeks while i prepare and do exams.

1.) Does anyone know why I feel drained?

2.) What can I do to regain some energy?
