I recently bought a 1995 Yamaha Virago. The battery is brand new and I put it on a charger for a couple days just to make sure everything was charged up. Now that I've been riding it pretty consistently, the battery seems to die out after a few days. I've gotten into the habit of throwing it on the charger over night. Even when I do so, the battery seems to be low after just one ride across town. I plan on taking the battery out and having it tested. But what else could be the problem? If it's a wiring issue, what would be the best way to go about troubleshooting? I've been a rider since I could walk, but I've never really worked on cruisers, so the setup is somewhat foreign to me. Any advice would be great.
