  • What should I do about anxiety in the Air Force?

    I'm currently at the DLI in Monterey, CA. I'm an NPS enlisted airman and am afraid that the stress of the course (compounded with an already low self-esteem) is turning into an anxiety disorder or possibly a form of depression.

    I'm not sure if I should seek help or try to grin and bear it for the rest of the time here. I'm afraid that with the attempt to lower numbers they will take any reason to discharge me they can. I'm constantly on edge, and my classmates have talked to me (repeatedly) to get my act together, but have yet to report anything to a chain of command.

    Any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.
