  • Who is the man at 140?

Tim Bradley? Devon Alexander? Amir Khan?

I just hope 140 does a tournament like they are doing at 168.

  • How do I determine how much to bill for a service?

I am looking at establishing a web development company. Is there a way to determine how much I should set my hourly rate at?

I am currently looking at using the following equation, I'm not sure if it's adequate.

    The salary I want in a year + 30%

    plus

The overhead costs for a year + 10%

divide that total by the billable hours I have available for a year

Add 25% to that as a profit margin and there's my number.

So for example if I want my Salary to be $40,000 a year and my overhead is $5,000 a year (I would be working from home, and hardware costs are minimal)

    Salary $40,000 + 30% = $52,000

    Overhead $5,000 + 10% = $5,500

    Total = $57,500

    Billable hours = 1,200

    $47.92 per hour + 25% = $59.90 hourly billing rate.

  • Buying penny stock on Scottrade?

I was trying to buy some shares of Casual Male (CMRG) on my Scottrade account and it said I couldn't place a market order for shares valued less than a dollar. Is this some kind of standard that I don't know about, or is it something specific to my account. When I attempted to make the transaction I was trying to buy 100 shares @ 0.40 each. And yes I have the available balance to do it.

  • Stock charting software?

Does anyone have any advice for good charting software, something that is very inclusive. I am currently using the charts on yahoo finance, but as far as I know don't have a place to set up the indicators I want to use. I mean they are there, but I have to set it up everytime. Also I would like close to real time charts.

  • Reading on macroeconomics?

Does anyone have any advice on reading about the basics of macroeconomics? I will be taking a class on it in fall of 2009, but I am actually more interested to see how things are connected now. I would also be interested on reading about economic theories. Books or links to websites are welcome.

  • Why I'm not voting for anyone in '08?

I believe that noone is covering the issues that interest me and that is cheifly reducing government spending. The "conservative republican" side claims that they will cut taxes, but the fundamental problem is that they continue to spend, spend, spend. The "liberal democrat" side claims that they will reduce taxes for lower and middle classes and small business, but they want to create government programs which will make us continue to spend, spend, spend.

I guess my question is am I alone here? I don't mind paying taxes to try and get the national debt eliminated. But noone is talking about doing less at the Federal level and giving more power to the states. Both sides are ultimately trying to inflate the power of the national government.

  • What should my next move be?

Here is my situation, I am debt free aside from my mortgage which I have a good amount of equity in. I have 6 months worth of income in savings. I have a matched 401k at work which I have put at a high percent. I also have about $5,000 in the market.

So my options are open an IRA until I max that out for the year

    OR

Start heavily investing in the market.

    OR

    A mixture of the two.

I don't have any kids nor do I plan to have any, I am married and 32 years old. I don't know which will work better for me. I don't mind taking some risk, but nothing as risky as frontier markets, I would like a small portion of my portfolio to provide income. My goal is to be able to retire at or before 50, I am hoping this is a realistic goal as my living conditions are very modest and I have a decent portion (60% left after bills and fun) of my income to play with.

Ex-Date Record Date Pay Date Rate/ Share

will I receive the dividend? Or did I miss the cutoff?

  • Starter sailboat?

I am looking for a brand and model of a good starter sailboat. Here is my criteria, needs to seat 2 people comfortably, needs to be very light (able to be pulled by a regular truck). This will be exclusively used in man-made fresh water lakes. It will be for daytrips only so no cabin is needed. I would prefer something simple to rig and sail.

    b) Is this a good thing?

    c) How will it affect the dividends.

  • Is this diet safe?

Eat only eggs, oatmeal, rice, vegetables, nuts (unsalted), beans and berries.

Supplement with a multi-vitamin. Drink only water green tea, water and one fruit juice (no sugar added) per day. Meals would total roughly 400 calories each and I would be eating 5 times a day. My maintainance caloric intake is 2500 calories per day, so I am shooting for 2000 per week to lose weight at a slow steady pace.

  • Why don't we have unification tournaments?

I would like to see attempts at unification across all weight classes in 2009 a tournament the pits the current title holders against their mandatory and then title holder against title holder until all titles in a division are unified. Titles I would invite would be the WBA, WBO, WBC and IBF. Opinions?

  • What's next for Casamayor?

After dominating Katsidis (it was more one sided to me after watching a second time) he was calling out Pacquiao instead of Nate Campbell. I'd be interested to see Pac vs. Casa, but I don't know that it would generate the revenue. Personally I would prefer Pac v. Marquez III and Campbell vs. Casamayor II.

    Thoughts?

I am currently investing in 6 mutual funds and have a set target percentage of each each time I contribute (the same amount on a set schedule) I put it towards the fund that is the farthest below its target percentage.
