A friend of mine gave their cellphone to a local shop to replace a cracked screen. They told them it would take couple hours. When they returned to the shop - the guy at the shop said they cut off a wire and need to order a new part. So my friend waited couple weeks for the part to arrive and then when they came back to the shop - and guy at the shop asked them to "test drive" the phone. The phone powered on, but the reception/data did not work. So the guy at the shop admitted to damaging the antenna while they were opening the phone to replace the antenna. The guy said he is going to order a new antenna and attempt to fix it. A week or so passed by and the guy at the shop says that it is impossible to fix the phone now.

They are not able to give an exact replacement to the phone (even used one). A request for a new phone or univalent monetary value failed to reach their reason.

I recommended my friend to go to a small claim court. What kind of damages can they claim? The price of the phone? Is there any multiplier constant? Anything?

Someone I know was driving on the highway. As he tried to merge into a very busy exit lane, a Massachusetts Police Officer pulled him over and gave him citation for Unsafe Lane Change. The officer did not show any identification, and was not wearing any uniform.

Can they do that legally?

I was not able to find the chapter/section of the law that states whether of not they have to be on uniform when giving citations. If your answer is "Yes", can you direct me to where you found this answer?

I have a Sohmer & Co upright piano with serial number 128087#34FF. There is a sticker on it with piano technicians with dates. I assume those are the dates that it was services/tuned (88 and 03). The piano has some wear on the front wood (the color is chipped) and as well on the matching bench. But the piano is in tune and plays very well. What would be a fair price for something like this?

I wanted to write a script or program that reads information from multiple webpages on a certain domain. It should be reading multiple entries on the page and recording them to a table.

I can provide the webpages links prior to the scan (as the information changes each second)

what language can do that? is there a software that already can do something like that?

Think about reading information from a stock website where the stocks value change and i want to record those changes (but in what i want to do required multiple readings from multiple fields)

as the page's code changes as the values change is there a way to refresh the code without 'view-source' option?

I own few domain names and have setup the email accounts for them to be 'catch-all' accounts. few of the domains are one character different from few large corporate companies. Therefore, i receive many times their emails by error. I emailed them and they keep on repeating those mistakes. I also receive emails from their business partners who do the same mistake.

at the end of some of the emails there is a email confidentiality footers. a disclaimer stating something like:

"This e-mail is intended for the use of the addressee(s) only and may contain privileged, confidential, or proprietary information that is

exempt from disclosure under law. If you are not the intended recipient, please do not read, copy, use or disclose the contents of this

communication to others. Please notify the sender that you have received this e-mail in error by replying to the e-mail. Please then

delete the e-mail and destroy any copies of it. Thank you."

I want to open a blog and post all of those email there, including all contents and so on. What is the legal liability here by doing so?

Hi there, There is a website that has many pictures that I am interested in. The difference between each image is the count. They go from 1 to 800.

The url for each picture is the same, but the only thing that changes in the url name is the number from 1 to 800 counting.

Is there any software that can run all those pages and download each picture?

I am working in a Community College in the state of Massachusetts and recently they hanged the flag of so called Palestine. Can they do that? I would assume that they can not because Palestine is not considered an independent state/country and placing a flag among flags of other countries is a political statement.

As this college is a community college i would assume it is under the supervision of the state itself.

I am having small trouble with figuring out one node in this circuit. There are 4 nodes (one is ground point V=0).

The node I am trying to figure (call it V1) the KCL for is next to the power source. it has three branches to it. I figured the current from the two branches but not from the branch that leads from the power source. The power source is 12.3V. and below it there is the ground node (which is V=0).

What is the current coming from the power source to the node? Please explain, I am abit lost on this.

I have few domain names that all are redirecting to one domain name. Currently i am using the html tag <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=mydomain.com/" />. I was hoping that all the redirected traffic will increase my main domain page rank due to the traffic.

But I read yesterday that this 'refresh' meta tag is actually bad for SEO. They mentioned there that search engine actually unindex domains like that and therefore i would lose that traffic and the domains would not show up in search results.

Can any one suggest me a good way to redirect the traffic from my secondary domains to my primary one? I would like to monitor the traffic in the secondary domains as well as in the primary domain. Currently i am using google analytics to give me traffic information about all the domains.

Please, when answering this question include whether your method is SEO friend, and how? And, also include whether i can monitor it with google analytics or maybe you can suggest other traffic analytics tool?

So i have two domain names domain-one.com; domain-two.com (fake names) and I want domain-one.com to be shown automatically when anyone goes to domain-two.com.

i do not want to redirect the traffic - i do want to monitor it. is there any way to work with frame to show the 2nd website inside the 1st automatically?
