Collection of voice sound files for individual piano notes?
Is there a collection of voice files for individual piano notes available for download? So if they are played together, it will sound as if someone is practicing vocal Do-Re-Mi.
1 AnswerSinging7 years agoCan amnesia make you forget something permanently?
Can you lose memory permanently due to amnesia? For example, can these happen:
1. Forget a loved person.
2. Forget an online friend.
3. Forget a programming language skill.
4. Forget a chain of events completely.
If not permanent, for how long can an amnesia last?

What are the text effects used in the lyrics display? Is it the same technique used in both videos?
Thanks.
1 AnswerProgramming & Design7 years agoIs it allowed for a group of people to promote each other ridiculously on Yahoo Answers?
Ok, so I have come up with a bunch of guys, who most of the time have no idea but still give answers to questions, and their answers are like "Wow, I want to know the answer too", "I am waiting for the best answer" or just simply "Yes".
Also I see some groups who post same questions and just answer each others' questions and they just praise each other with "Very good answer" when the answer is simple and the same answer was given by someone else on the same question first.
Also sometimes one of them asks questions like "What is the best IT firm in ****" and they answer "*** is the best IT firm in ***" which is a ridiculous advertisement.
Are these annoying or what? Is it really allowed in Yahoo Answers to do ridiculous stuff like this? Or should these people be reported?
PS: I am so ashamed because most of these people are from my own country and they are giving my country a bad impression here.
1 AnswerYahoo Answers7 years agoIs there any algorithm for solving Neon Flow game?
Hi,
So I got the puzzle game Neon Flow from Google play store, and it's quite fun. If you haven't played it, it is simply like this, some pairs of points will be given in an NxN grid and you need to connect the points in such a way that no connection overlaps another connection.
Now I am pretty sure there is a real puzzle like this (something like lining 3 houses and 3 water stations of something like that), and I think there should be an algorithm on how to solve this.
Also, once solved, it looks like a circuit board wiring. A circuit board wiring should need an algorithm as well so that one wire does not cross another.
I've heard of Lee algorithm, not sure if that works, but it just seems to find a path inside a maze. But I need an efficient algorithm that makes sure that no 2 paths cross each other.
So what is the official algorithm to do this if there is any?
Cheers!
1 AnswerProgramming & Design7 years agoWhich is better for data backup, USB Flash Drive or Memory Card?
Hi,
I am planning to back up some important data (like passwords, of course as encrypted files) which I wish to update sometimes. I want to keep both online and offline back ups.
Offline: Which is better (data durability and not getting obsolete soon) - USB Flash Drive or Micro SD Memory Card?
Online: I cannot pay for professional services like Carbonite or BackBlaze. As the data isn't too large, can I just email them to myself and save the emails? Is that a safe option for yahoo mail and gmail? I mean can I rest assure that these will never get deleted?
Cheers!
10 AnswersSecurity7 years agoWhat is PHP based on?
Hi,
Stupid question.
I was wondering, how are high level languages like HTML, PHP, MySQL etc made? I mean, how do the compilers work? Are these languages first compiled to a lower level language such as C/C++ or are they self-sufficient and are directly compiled to machine language?
Cheers!
1 AnswerProgramming & Design7 years agoCan I sing a modified version of a copyrighted song?
Ok, so I am pretty confused when it comes to copyright and stuff. I have a couple of questions about songs and their copyright limitations:
1. Can I change the lyrics of a copyrighted song and sing it with the changed lyrics for personal amusement only and NOT share it somewhere (like YouTube)?
2. Can I actually share it somewhere like YouTube?
3. Can I hire a singer who can sing the modified song for me?
Cheers!
5 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years agoHow long does it take roughly for a memory to become permanent?
Hi,
Well I was reading about Amnesia and found this article: http://science.howstuffworks.com/life/am...
I am a bit weak about medical stuff, but if I understand it correctly, it says that long term memories are the permanent ones that, well, do not disappear permanently due to any kind of Amnesia (please correct me if I read it wrong).
So I was wondering, usually how long does it take for a memory to be called a long term memory and become permanent?
For example, say a couple loves each other for about a year, and the entire year they stay with each other, think about each other and love each other dearly. And after a year, one of them suffers amnesia. What are the chances he/she will forget her dear love?
PS: Yeah I know kind of sounds like a movie or whatever.

1 AnswerMental Health7 years agoWhat should be a justifiable price for an image?
Hi,
Ok so brace yourself for a really funny question from a hypothetical paranoid kid. (Why hypothetical? Well you should understand once you read the question)
So this kid once downloaded a lot of images from the internet that could have copyright on them. He did not use them for any tangible purpose, he just used them as wallpapers, which in turn gave him inspiration and motivation.
Later he got religious and felt bad for this and wanted to undo it. So he deleted all the pictures. Then he thought maybe he should pay for them as well. As it is nearly impossible for him to find all the designers one by one, especially now that he deleted the pictures, he decided to donate the price to charity.
So he is wondering, what should be a justifiable price for a digital image that is used for intangible purpose such as using as wallpaper and only gaining intangible benefit from them like inspiration.
He is thinking $1 for each image. Is it an ok price, too high price or too low price?
Again, purely hypothetical situation :)
Cheers.
3 AnswersDrawing & Illustration7 years agoDoes copyright restrain imagination?
I was wondering, can someone copyright his imagination? O.o
You might wanna' see this question, the current question arises from that: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=201312...
Please let me explain. Say you create a fictional superhero called SuperJerry that is a flying mouse with capes on etc. Now you copyright it so no one can download or use images of SuperJerry. Now, say I download some images of SuperJerry and become a fan of it. I sometimes daydream that I am flying with SuperJerry.
Now you can charge me for downloading the image of SuperJerry. But can you also charge me for imagining SuperJerry as well?
I mean, does anyone have any right to tell me what I can imagine and what not? So does the "restriction of copying and using" also apply for copying in my mind and using it in my mind or does that only apply for physical usage?
Sorry if the question is too weird, but I have been doing some hypothetical thinking and for that the answer is needed.
Cheers.
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years agoHow large is the field that copyright covers about the use of something?
I am a total noob when it comes to laws and stuff. I have a crazy question about the ridiculous copyright. Laugh all you want, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if copyright actually went this far (or maybe it has, that's the question).
Ok, when someone says, "You cannot use this without my permission", what does the word "use" and "this" mean here and how large is the field they cover? Take this imaginary scenario into consideration:
An artist draws a picture of a bird and puts copyright on it. I download the image from the internet and like the bird. Then I go and catch such a bird for myself and keep it as a pet (considering catching that bird is legal by itself). Now the artist can claim that I used his drawing and fine me. But can he also (theoretically) claim that the bird belongs to him as well because I would have never known of the bird if it were not for his painting? Or is it that the bird is in the public domain and he cannot claim something from the public domain?
So what I am basically trying to say is, say there are some things that are in the public domain naturally. Can anyone legally put copyright onto one of those things just because he found it first?
Cheers.
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years agoHow to find the perimeter of a polygon parallelly outside another polygon?
Hi,
I have 2 polygons one inside another. They are of the same shape. I know the coordinates of the smaller inner polygon. Every edge of the larger polygon is parallel to every edge of the smaller polygon by a constant distance.
I can easily calculate the perimeter of the inner polygon by adding the distances of the vertices. But can I find the perimeter of the outer polygon in any way?
Cheers.
1 AnswerMathematics8 years agoFind a coordinate of a isosceles right triangle?
Hi.
I have a triangle ABC where angle A is 90 degrees. I know that AB = AC and I know the coordinates of A and B (say A(x1, y1) and B(x2, y2)). Now is there a way to determine the coordinate of C using these details?
I am having trouble searching for the answer. So if it is already answered somewhere else, a link would be appreciated.
Cheers :D
3 AnswersMathematics8 years agoShould I move on to C++ now?
Hi. I have been studying the C programming language for about a month. I have covered most of the basic elements. But I am still to study advanced elements like arrays, structures, pointers etc. Shall I continue studying C or advance to C++ after practicing what I already know about C? Are advanced C chapters needed for C++? Or are they covered in C++? Thanks.
10 AnswersProgramming & Design9 years agoATI Raedon HD 4650 driver on Ubuntu 11.10?
Hi. I am using an ATI Raedon HD 4650 graphics card. My OS is Ubuntu 11.10. I tried to install the graphics card driver from System settings-->Additional drivers. But it has proprietary driver. I installed that and after that the graphics went worse. So I removed it. Are there any open source Ubuntu supported drivers for this card? If so, how can I install it? Please explain in an easy way as I am fairly new in the Linux world. Cheers.
3 AnswersOther - Hardware9 years agoHow to prevent lines from breaking up in C language?
Hi. I am new in programming. I am currently learning C. I am facing a tiny problem. Whenever a line gets wider than the screen size, it breaks up the word/number. For example, if a line is "How are you today?" it may break like "How are you tod <next line> ay?" Same thing happens for numbers when I program to make a large list like a prime number list etc. But the only way I can prevent numbers from breaking up is to stick \n with every printf command. But that looks really ugly with a large part of the screen remaining empty. Is there a better way? Thanks.
1 AnswerProgramming & Design9 years agoHow much advantage will I get in learning C++ if I already know C?
Hi. I am planning to learn C first, then C++. I was wondering if I will have any advantage learning C++ after I have finished with C? Or are they completely different from each other. Or how much are they alike? Cheers.
