What is the best grass for me?
I am looking to plant new grass but it needs to be drought tolerent, good with traffic, gets long, and is easy to plant. I was looking at buffalo grass but it says it is hard to grow from seed. Any other grasses?

I live about a mile away from open country and mixed woodland forest and there are hills. I never tried to attract coyotes or owls but coyotes have visited my yard before. I live in suburban area and coyotes ate my ducks a long time ago and been visiting occasionly once in a great while. So anyways i read up on information and i am going to put a dog bowl outside in my front yard and put dog food and water and see what happens. Any tip? There is this great horned owl in my area and i was wondering if a screech owl will use my nest box for it. Please tell me how to attract these night creatures

i live near L.A. and i love to watch birds. Im looking into western serviceberry tree but i dont know if it can grow in dry soil. All the trees amd shrubs i get have to grow good in dry soil and these are them: Western serviceberry tree, california lilac tree, an oak tree with fall color leaves, chokeberry shrub, coffeberry shrub, golden currant shrub, coyote bushes, and blueberry shrub. western serviceberry, charrpal flowering currant, wax currant, black chokeberry,coffeberry. The western serviceberry is a tree, currants are shrubs and so is coffeberry. What trees are also fast growing and not that tall .
