  • need help to healthy up this recipe?

    So i've been trying to eat healthier but I have this meal my mom use to make and its ******* delicious. Bear in mind i'm not a great cook, anyway heres what it is:

    Kielbasa (hillshire or kroger) sausage cooked up

    1 bag of uncle bens 10 minute rice

    1 can of diced tomatos

    1 can of glory foods red bean and rice

    and recently i've been cutting up bell pepper and onions to throw in, its really good. The problem is I looked at the back of the sausage i put in and its pretty awful for you and doesn't provide much, and usually when i make i eat at least half and then finish it the next day or two. My friend said something about turkey sausage but i don't know anything about that and have never tried it. I want to eat this meal but doesn't really provide much for me, any tips on making it healthier?

  • reading in an unsigned short in C results in bus error?

    unsigned short addy1;

    printf("Please input an address to generate a signature: ");

    scanf("%u", &addy1);

    this compiles, but whenever i run the program it asks me for the input, i put a number in and i get Bus Error. running on gcc if that helps. Also i tried putting a printf after the scanf just to make sure the values there but it does not print it out, meaning the problem is with the scanf. Anyone know what i'm screwing up?

    I'm not very familiar with C yet but from what i understand

  • how to work on a team project in google wave like CVS in eclipse?

    I was under the impression that you could upload files to googlewave and once you do you could access them again and update them, and in fact have someone else update the file. Maybe i read about this somewhere else or it was just a rumor but I currently use CVS in eclipse to work on projects but i thought googlewave might be something cool i could opt to if it had the capability. Anyone have any idea

  • What is the energy of each of the following photons in kilojoules per mole?

    This looks easy but i'm still gettin it wrong. I'm given

    v = 5.93 x 10^19 /s

    I tried just using E = hv (where h is planks constant = 6.626 x 10^-34) and then converting from joules to kilojoules. I got 3.93 x 10^-17, but apparently the answer is 2.37 x 10^7 kj/mol.

    I'm really off here so any help is greatly appreciated!

  • need a little help on my review?

    I'm giong over a couple practice questions for chemistry but i can't seem to figure this one out.

    Given a 1.00 g sample of an unknown sulfate salt, ASO4, the following steps are performed:

    1. The salt is dissolved in water.

    2. An excess of BaCl2 is added resulting in the formation of a precipitate.

    3. The sample is washed and dried. The mass of the precipitate is determined to be 1.94 g

    We can write the following chemical equation to represent steps 1 & 2:

    ASO4 (aq) + BaCl2 (aq) → BaSO4 (s) + ACl2 (aq)

    What is the identity of A?

    A. Mn+2

    B. Pb+2

    C. Fe+2

    D. Mg+2

    E. Zn+2

    I converted 1.94gBaSO4 to .0083122mol SO4, then converted that to .7985g SO4, subtracted that from one to get .2015g of A. But beyond this i dunno what to do. any help is appreciated!

  • Chemistry problem involving HCl dilute and 10%BaCl2?

    A 0.0582 g sample of chromium sulfate was dissolved in dilute HCl and treated with 10% BaCl2 solution. The BaSO4 precipitate eighed 0.1038 g. Determine the formula of this sulfate of chromium.

    I have 2 other problems exactly like this except with different samples of Xsulfate. The 10% solution is throwin me off and i'm not exactly sure how do this problem. Any help is greatly appreciated thanks!

  • c++ function prototype question?

    "A little league soccer team needs a way to compute its top team of the season. Instead of invoking a playoff system they have decided to add up all the goals scored by each team throughout the season. The team with the most goals is declared the winner.

    Design (do not implement) a function that, given a finite list of total scores of each team as integers computes the winning team. The team number, a means to uniquely identify a team, will be the index into the list. The function will return the team number of the winning team(s). Keep in mind that their may be a tie in which both teams will mutually be declared champions.

    Write the function prototype for such a funtion."

    This question seems weird to me. It's just asking for the prototype and as long as I include the right variables this should be easy... I think... am i over thinking this?

  • c++ simple array in calling a function problem?

    can't seem to get the right values, i get some crazy numbers here instead of the simple ones i would expect. Trying to print out the results of the volt array.

    #include<iostream>

    #include<cmath>

    using namespace std;

    void calc_volts(double current, double resistance, double volts, int i);

    int main ()

    {

    double current[10] = {10.62, 14.89, 13.21, 16.55, 18.62, 9.47, 6.58, 18.32, 12.15, 3.98};

    double resistance[10] = {4, 8.5, 6, 7.35, 9, 15.3, 3, 5.4, 2.9, 4.8};

    double volts[10];

    cout << "The volts for the pregiven values are: " << endl;

    for (int i=0; i<=9; i++)

    {

    void calc_volts(double current, double resistance, double volts, int i);

    cout << volts[i] << endl;

    }

    return 0;

    }

    void calc_volts(double current[10], double resistance[10], double volts[10], int i)

    {

    volts[i] = current[i] * resistance[i];

    return;

    }

    any help or points in the right direction is greatly appreciated

  • linear regression in c++?

    having trouble getting the slope and y intercept here after i get a given amount of ponits, and no we are not allowed to use arrays in this assignment. here is what i have so far

    int i;

    float x;

    float y;

    float sumx=0;

    float sumy=0;

    for (i=1; i<=n; i++)

    {

    cout << "Please enter x and y respectively for coordinate " << i << ": "<< endl;

    cin >> x >> y;

    sumx += x;

    sumy += y;

    }

    float avgx = sumx / n;

    float avgy = sumy / n;

    //calculate and output m, b, and r^2

    if (avgx == 0) // Tests the slope before calculating, in case it is undefined

    {

    cout << "ERROR! Slope is undefined! Aborting program!";

    return 0;

    float slope = avgy/avgx; //rise over run

    float b = avgy - (avgx*slope); //b=y-mx is variation of y=mx+b

    ---------------------

    I see where this gives me an error but i don't know how to fix it heh. Any tips?

    oh and i have no idea how to get the actual regression R so an equation for that or at least a push in the right direction would be great thanks!

  • Alarm Problem On Mitsubishi Spyder eclipse 99?

    My sisters eclipse has had an alarm problem for quite some time. Whenever we lock the doors with the power lock system or sometimes just at random the car alarm will be armed. The only way we can deactivate the alarm is unplugging the battery under the hood. Is there a fuse or some way we can completely deactivate the alarm system from coming on. We don't have a key-less entry remote although we use to, and when we did it did not help the problem. We still had to unplug the battery to disengage the alarm.

    If anyone knows what is up with this or could help us stop this from happening it would be greatly appreciated. We are trying to sell the car and this is the only problem with it and would really help in selling if we didn't have to tell them not to use the power locks and that they might have to unplug the battery from time to time. Thanks!
