wood turning lathes in canada?
where can i find a wood turning lathe, for bowls mostly, floor standing at least 3/4hp and either sold in canada or shipped to canada for a sensible price. not $300 shipping as quoted by one company.
i have looked at various models from jet to grizzly and everything in between. i have a budget which would include shipping of $500-$1000.
My last lathe which was when i lived in scotland was an axminster which was great. jet is similar and a preferred option but will consider most brands.

I'm looking for a supplier of monkey puzzle trees in Canada, preferably in saskatchewan but failing that anywhere who would deliver or mailout.
I'm not too fussed about size or cost, but trees ranging from 1.5-5 feet tall would be ideal and i would be wanting 5 of them.
any help would be appreciated

5 AnswersOther - Canada1 decade agonon starting when hot?
i have just bought a triumph trophy 1200 (h reg/1991) which starts first time every time perfectly, and runs incredibly smooth. delighted with the bike but have one problem. if the engine is hot and i have switched off the bike for any reason, the bike wont start until it cools again. i have put a new battery in but its still doing the same.
turn the key, hit the button and it is as though the battery is dead. even though lights etc all work.
again starts perfectly when cold, and the problem only happens when the bike has been running and has got hot.
any help appreciated
7 AnswersMotorcycles1 decade agoshould we stop some folk from breeding?
i'm thinking in particular the unemployed, junkies. alkies, and spongers on welfare/social security.
anyone else think that if you can feed em.. dont breed em!!!
I have no problem with people who GENUINELY need help getting help but by allowing them to have more kids only adds to their problems.
why should hard working folk be penalised and have to pay for other folks parasitic spawn.
12 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoSo.. would you sell your soul and if so how much??
You know, as a way to make some cash i was thinking of selling my soul on Ebay. wasn't sure how much to start the bidding at.
of course in return for payment i would draw up a contract and send it to the winner.
would this be ethical?? whats a good price??
and before the god squad start going loopy.. i dont believe in god or the devil so i'm not too fussed about owning my soul.. and perhaps if i dont believe in religion i wont technically have a soul to sell..
your thoughts please..
