I recently watched the movie "The witch" 2016.

I can't remember what it was called, what I do remember-

The movie was set in I think a pine forest in winter, deserters escape from a prison camp into the woods, they begin to kill each other off for food.

IMPORTANT: The most shocking scene I can remember is when one of the deserters drops a rock onto one of the others head, he twitches and screams, he drops another rock onto his head and kills him. It was brutal.
