Okay heres the deal.

I want to set up a little something in my room to record my drums and wanted to get your input on if the setup i am going to purchase is okay or do i need to change things.

1. I already have a new macbook pro with 4 gb ram so that is not an option.

2. i was going to buy this mixer-Behringer Xenyx 1202 (here it is if you dont know what it looks like) http://www.guitarcenter.com/Behringer-Xe%E2%80%A6

3 these mics-CAD PRO-7 7-Piece Drum Microphone Pack.....http://www.guitarcenter.com/CAD-PRO-7-7-%E2%80%A6

4. enough xlr cables and xlr to 1/4 inch, boom stands and small stand for bass drum.

i has planing on using garageband on hoping to keep the cost down.

oh ya i wont be using one of the tom mics on account i only have 2 toms.

so how does it look. i have got my mics, stands cables that would go into a mixer and that into my laptop.

anything i am missing? is there an easer way to do it?

Okay here is the deal, i just invested in a new macbook pro ( which i must say is the best investment you could make) and needed help making drum covers for youtube and such. i have the video recorded and in imovie ready to go and i have the song in itunes and i have my recorded drums in garageband now how do i get both the song from itunes and the drums i recorded onto imovie? as far as i can find i can only have one(like i can only have the video and the song or only the video and my recorded drums), any help would be nice. i have all the ingredients and i just dont know how to get them all in the same dish. thanks

i am a little lost though this is what i know i want to have a good condenser and a bass mic.

as for mixer i am getting the Behringer xenyx 802. it has 2 mic inputs.

fist question, what mics would you recommend if possible under $100 for each.

what FREE software would you recommend for recording?

are there any tricks for cheap recording like could i use a mic i already have(its a vocal mic) for my bass drum.

i have been a nikon person since a young kid, because thats what my dad always used. Now that im older and cant keep muching off of his equipment i have to make a decision now. nikon or canon. there are pros and cons to both some being that if i stayed with nikon my dad assured me that i could "borrow" any of his high end 20 or so lenses.

The bad is that a digital nikon is going to cost me a arm and leg to get, even used(about $400) I was looking at the D50 or something cheap that has the autofocus motor, not like the crappy D40.:((

SO here are my questions: what do you think i should do, please give photography history

if canon please give example of good starter digital camera( it does not matter if it is discontinued) because i am very unfamiliar with canons line up other than the high end stuff.

and i own a mac if it helps i heard canons are much easer to use with macs....idk.

right now im using a D70 or D300 when my dad does not need it and they are wonderful cameras, i dont need wonderful i will be happy with anything as long as i have enough left over to by some decent glass;)

or just give input on either nikon or canon (dont tell me sony or olympus cuz i wont listen)

my dad wants to buy these thing from me but i don't know how much to charge him.

the things are

1. XBOX 360 with 3 wireless controllers, 1 wired 7 or 8 games 10 gb hard drive and 1 year to xbox live and 2 headsets

2. a 27" tv (old one) about 12 years old, not a flat screen, pretty big but works like new( almost never used it)

3. black tv stand, picked up at wal mart for i think 50$ has got shelves for xbox, movies, games

4. my computer, a 19" widescreen dell flat pannel( the really skinny ones) only a year old. the cpu i built but the specs are

1.8 ghz

1 gb ram

200 gb hard drive

windows xp home

cd/dvd burner

and a dell keyboard and wireless mouse

what do you think its worth all together?

I am a sophomore in HS and I try to make good grades... last 6 weeks(our grading period, like a semester) i Failed both algebra 2 and chem.

my mom knows and is disappointed. I have never failed before but i have made C's. my parents are not happy unless its all A's and B's. (which I haven't gotten in 2 years). I keep on making excuses and promises and never keeping them so at this point they mean nothing to them. I really am trying now, ( Irealizedzed how important it is if i want to get into college) but when my dad see's my 2 failing grades he's gonna kill me. How can I word it so he actually believes im trying now and not just making excuses or empty promises and not get grounded???

i hate my ride right now. It's cheap and hurts my ears:(. I want to replace it, it would not be used like most people use it(just ping ing on it) i crash on the thing like there is no tommorow. I could really care less how good the bell is ( i have a zil-bel) i heard A customs were pretty good

My corolla keeps on bottoming out, tires hitting wheel well. It only on the rear. I have had the struts replaced but it's still doing it. What's up? I have taken it to several shops and they said the stuts are bad but there only 6 months old. Others say that the last owner replaced the tires with bigger ones and there too big for the car. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do?

would it be good for making and publishing simple video blogs to youtube using the built in web cam?

no crazy editing, just adding music.

thats all i would do with it so i would get rid of the unneeded programs to make it faster

2 questions

first i just got 4 polk 6.5 speakers for my corolla and they need 60 rms each

my amp is a 4 channel but only puts 50 rmsx4

Will I overheat my amp, it does have a high/ low filter wich should save some power..

let me know what you think

second . I have 2 12 inch kicker comp subs 150 rms each in a ported box

the amp i have is a mono amp with 175 rmsx1 at 4ohms (my subs are 4ohms)

can i power it with that amp??? I would like to be able to crank it up with the subs able to thump or am i better off getting a better amp???

ok my snare is bugging the crap out of me

i have tightened the snare at the bottom as tight as i can, added moon gels and evens e rings

and when i hit my toms it almost sounds like im hitting my snare( the snares are vibrating ALOT)

its really annoying and sounds bad

ok i have a 2001 toyota corolla and want to upgrade the awful speakers in it, my dad has been pretty useful so far(he has done this before to his past cars, but along time ago)

and we decided to replace all four speakers in it add tweeters to the dash and a sub(maybe 2) in the trunk with a amp

the only thing is my dad only knows brands that were good in the 70's

so what are good brands for everything, the speakers, amps, subs, tweeters

i have painted drums before and it turned out great.

i have a new kit(a vintage pearl) and the wrap is comming off in some places

i want to paint them like the other drums i have had but my dad says it could hurt the sound, hurt the resale...ect that kinda stuff

i was going to paint it gloss whit with a blue stripe down the middle of each drum

i think that would look even better than the wrap

but he wont listen to me so i need your help

please give pros and cons about painting drums vs getting it wrapped

(please dont just say dont do it, i have done it before and it worked fine)

and please put you expirence with drums and how many years for the sake of the argument
