what is the largest caliber you can legally shoot a squirrel with, in the state of Virginia?

When the slide of my M9 is locked back and I insert a mag the slide releases (only when the mag is loaded). I was wondering if something is wrong or it is normal.

When buying an AR style rifle in Virginia do you need your SSN for any paperwork.

I have recently be looking into getting an AR and stumpled across Windham Weaponry. I was wondering if anybody has had any experience with the company and or their product. I do know that they are the former manufactures of Bushmaster so the have some reliability to their name.

I am currently a college student studying Criminal Justice. I have recently been assigned a research paper that requires me to interview a person that is in the field I am interested in. The field that I am interested in is secret service counter snipers. All I really need to do is contact a secret service agent through email and ask a few questions. I have contacted the Public Affairs and ask to speak to someone but I am still waiting on a response back. My question is how should I go about getting in contact with an agent? And if any one knows an email to contact the secret service through that would be helpful as well. Thanks

I am looking into getting a new gun for my collection and I am thinking about getting and Ar-15. I don't have and Ar yet so I am remotely new to them. I am looking for one that is chambered in 5.56 and I am thinking about putting a Slide FIre stock on it so that I can simulate full auto without a true full auto gun. I don't want to brake the bank on my first Ar purchase however I am a strong believer in you get what you pay for, so I would like to spend around $1000 but I could go higher if need be. So with that which Ar would you suggest for me.

I have some little dehumidifiers in my safe, however; they need to be reactivated every few days and they are supposed to last about 30 days. To take care of the problem I have put a dehumidifier that plugs into the wall in the room my safe is in. I am wondering what the best humidity percent would be for my guns?

I am considering getting a Fobus level two thumb release roto-holster and I was wondering if anyone has played with or used one. What are your thoughts on the holster?

I am debating which gun I should get. The two guns are the Beretta M9 and the FN Five Seven. I am aware that there is a rather large price difference in the two, I am not too worried about the price (I was considering buying a desert eagle so I was going to spend the money any way but i decided not to get one). Right now I am leaning more toward the Beretta, the ammo is cheaper and the gun is cheaper so i will be able to shoot it more often. To compensate for the price of the FN I wouldn't shoot it as much. So with that input which gun would you choose to get?

Can every shotgun handle magnum rounds or does it have to say magnum on it. For example my shotgun says 2 3/4 and 3 inches on it so can I shoot 3 inch magnums out of it. I know I can shoot up to 3 inches but nothing bigger.

If I walk in to a gun shop and they don't have the gun I want and they order it for me. What do I need the day I have them order the gun, as in a deposit or ID, and are all shops the same?

As long as the mount fits the scope will it fit on any gun.
