I can't seem to get the right answer for the following question

derive the equation for the function with the following cheacteristics:

tanx: period=2π with an upward verticle shift of 2 units

the answer is tan1/2x + 2

I don't understand why it is 1/2 x when 2π/b = period and the period is 2π so it seems like b should be 1 not 1/2.

Could someone explain how you get the 1/2

In california to get your drivers permit do you know if you must do the 6 hours of driving before or after you get your permit. I have read conflicting things so I thought it would be best to simply ask some one who remembers what they did.

Someone gave me a prepaid american express card with a fixed balance. The only use I have for it is to put it on my paypal so I can use it for ebay. When I try to put it on paypal it always says the information I typed in is incorrect, however it is not. Does anyone have experience with pre paid american express cards (the type you get at the grocery store) and know how to put the money on your paypal?

I know how to do these but I check my answers with an online solver and I got an imaginary number for x and the solver somehow got a real number. Can someone show me how this turns out to have a real x value when you set y equal to zero.

My teacher doesn't have time to explain this type and the book doesn't explain how to do this specific type either. Actually there are 2. The goal in these is to change them to a form so that you can graph the conic section. Can someone please show me how to do these 2 types.

Change to standard form: 8x(^2) + 12xy + 18y(^2) = 72 I don't know what do since it has the 12xy

Change to a form that you can graph from and graph (can you just tell me how to graph, I don't expect you to graph it): x(^2) - 4y = 4

the square root covers everything under it, i just cant show that on a computer so it is the square root isof x-7 not just x.

I really appreciate anyones help because my teacher cant even get the 1% of the stuff she actually teaches right, when she has a good day and teaches, my class has to correct her mistakes... which is literally every step she does.

Im 15 and I have never ejaculated except for in my sleep and i dont wake up afterwards, i just wake up in the morning sticky. I have never been able to make myself *** or orgasm or whatever, it might be because i havent had sex but i think it could be anhedonia. I am wondering if anyone knows how to go from a carboxylic acid (carbon has a double bond with oxygen and is bonded to an alcohol) to just a carbon. So im wondering how you would reduce the carbonyl group and the alcohol group basically. Would potassium nitrite then HCl work?

Im not sure if its just coincidence but i have been a bit extra tired the last 2 days and i have also had a pain in my mid/upper right stomach area (below ribs and chest, so its where your 6 pack is) I have had that pain for 3 days and i have only been pooping out a little bit like 3 inches vs a normal amount (past 2 days). I just generally dont feel that great and im just wondering if this sticks out as some sort of intestinal problem to anyone.

The first time i tried alcohol i had approximately 11 ounces of 40% vodka, obviously i got a pretty good buzz going and probably a bit drunk but i remember every bit of it and i could easily talk to my parents. Since i dont want to say age il say that i weighed like 120lb at the time. So i tried drinking a couple more times and it was fun UNTILL the fourth or fifth time where nothing happened and its been like that forever now.

....I thought it was only alcohol but then (I have a prescription) i started using amphetamine where almost the same thing happened but i think it may still slightly effect me.

....Ok now the strange part comes, i have been smoking weed for like 10 months but i had to take a break for 7 months so it was 2 months then break then 1 more. I thought it would never happen but then it did, i smoked weed one day and it didnt do anything.

----Does anyone else have an annoying problem like this or have experience, its very annoying not being able to get high drunk or altered from things.

.....( With weed if i smoke around .7 i can get high but its not the same, alcohol iv tried drinking 16 ounces of vodka but i only got a buzz for half an hour, amphetamine well im not going to take alot hoping for effects since that would be bad)

i liked the scenery in this movie alot so i want to watch it again but i cant remember the name since it was a long time ago. At the beginning of the movie a (european) man is in some sort or aribic country i think and maybe hes a prisoner but he comes back to europe somewhere and meets a friend and they are talking next to a short brick wall with a tree behind them and a kid comes and tries to kill an animal or something so his family can eat it.

Ok first off i would like to say i just like chemistry i dont smoke weed so.. . . THEORETICALLY:

- - -If one wanted to pass a urine test for marijuana since it tests for metabolites THC-COOH and THC-OH could you add some sodium hydroxide to react with THC-COOH to take the hydrogen and form THC-COO + NA + H2O, then after since it would change the pH add some HCL acid to lower the pH back down.

- - - My concern is that after forming THC-COO + H2O + NA adding HCL would react with the THC-COO to form THC-COOH again, would this happen or would it bind with the sodium. Is there a way to find out which it would donate the Hydrogen to.

- - - An alternative idea I had would be adding hydrogen peroxide with is H2O2 so that this may happen H2O2 + THC-COOH ---> THC-COO + H20 and not add an acid since if you use the right amount it wouldnt be basic

my hard decision is weather or not to take ap chemistry my sophmore year. This year (freshman) i got a B in chemistry and im wondering if i should take ap chem or some other class.

Is ap chem that much harder and if it is that much harder how bad would a C in ap chem look for college, how bad would a B in ap chem look for college. Also does college even care if you take ap classes, like do they think your a better student.

So if you got a B or a C in a class like ap chemisty would they like it just as much as if you had taken a non ap science and gotten an A.

The only answers i want to hear are from medical professionals or people who actually know the answer. If a person drinks a bottle of wine every night how long will it be before their liver fails or they die from something else. If the person is about 50 years old
