Fantasy ideas for "combat rituals"?
So I m writting a story about an animal/bounty/monster hunter incapable of using magic who uses rituals and alchemy to make up for what he can t do.
Any ideas for rituals that can be used in combat?
The ideas I already have are:
-the ritual he used to become a vampire
-a fur armor with ritual symbols to transform into a werewolf at will
-a shield with ritual items attached to it and a ritual symbol to summon dark spirits when blocking
-a dagger made from ritual atrifacts that makes veins run from him forearm over the blade so he can steal energy from enemies when the blade penetrates their bodies
-a ritual to keep celestial dragon eggs from hatching so he can use them as "fire bombs" to throw at enemies
-a ritual trap to keep enemies locked up with magic
-a ritual stone that soaks up souls to heal the holder when needed
-a ritual belt which protects the wearer from certain poison
-a ritual bracelet to protect the wearer from magic
-a ritual helmet for enhanced senses
-rituals cut into his flesh for improved strength and speed
2 AnswersMythology & Folklore4 years agoWhat will not orgasming for multiple days even while having sex do?
I m curious as I already have a hard time orgasming anyway during sex.
If I keep myself from orgasming longer even though I ll be having sex, will this improve my performance, decrease it, is it healthy, unhealthy??
I have already seen a lot of improvement in how long I can last without getting sore, but will this stay or will it eventually wreack havoc on my erections?
I have already gone through one day where my libido dropped loads, but this morning it seems like that problem is gone again.
2 AnswersMen's Health4 years agoHow do I become a better person?
When I was little everyone was mean to me, at the time I actually thought that it was normal, the usual way people behave so I acted like that too, constantly being an asshole, doing so much stuff I really regret now.
Getting older however I started meeting nice people, people with whome I could talk to, who didn't pick fights or found it normal to hit someone every time they were slightly offended.
I liked that so much more so I wanted to be like that too, but now X years later I have such a hard time not to switch back to my previous ways every time I am tired, annoyed or just when I don't notice my own behaviour changing.
This might sound stupid but it's so exhausting to want to be nice when I'm not a naturaly nice person.
Anyone got hints?

3 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships4 years agoHealthy diet/lifestyle doesn t work for me?
I ve been training for 7 years now and I see that I perform so much worse with a proper diet, sleeping schedule and no distractions then I do with loads of junkfood, smoking loads of weed every day and a horrible sleeping schedule.
Now I basicaly train 4-5 times a week full out full body workouts with two friends, go swimming twice a week going as hard as I can with another friend and do calisthenics and some mma oriented training on my own.
I am busy non-stop, eat junkfood cause I have no time to eat otherwise, sleep poorly and smoke loads.
Why is it that I can keep doing this so easily but can t follow through with a normal healthy and stuctured workout/diet plan as I get overtrained so quickly when I do.
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness4 years agoIs training traps everyday okay?
I have no clue why but every day I try to trash my traps with crazy sets, reps, exercises, barely any rest, heavy *** deadlift weights,... but they never feel tired or overworked. It's quite the opposite, they feel like I neglect them and need to train them more. On my off days I even hit the gym just to trash my traps a little more. I love doing that, but can anyone explain to me why? I mean they recover quicker then my abs even though I isolate my traps a lot and barely isolate my abs.
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness4 years agoIs training everyday okay?
I train my intire body almost every day.
However instead of doing the squat, deadlift, bench press and military press I focus on one limbed exercises and try to go as heavy as I can without losing balance.
In the end, will this get me strong and will I overtrain even when I'm not sore afterwards?
And on my off days, is it okay to still train my core even though I already do that every workout day?
3 AnswersDiet & Fitness4 years agoAm I manic?
For the past three months I have been feeling exceptionally happy, energetic and easily irritated.
My drinking and smoking habits were off the chards, I barely slept for days on end, felt like a freaking god and it looked like it even helped me a lot: I get jobs so easily, make friends way more easily, am the life of the party,...
People have pointed out that I talk way too fast and I don't have a cent left on my bankaccount so now I can't pay my gymmembership anymore and that when I normally hit the gym almost every single day.
I also have a money fine now cause of reasons and the security came up to me at some point cause I wouldn't give them my ID but anyway.
From time to time I've also started seeing and hearing things that aren't there and every few days for a few minutes I still feel mildly depressed or numb.
So now and then I even start believing things that aren't true, like that I'm a pro fighter or a sex god or stuff like that (which weirdly happens to be almost true then).
Am I manic? Because I haven't been diagnosed with bipolar disorder but that's the closest explanation I have to my issues.
That "feeling" has kinda subsided now but I'm still kinda overconfident and easily irritated.
2 AnswersMental Health5 years agoI have a gf but I'm sexually frustrated?
I have a girlfriend and we fool around quite a lot.
I give her as many orgasms as she wants, but as I am her first she can't give me any.
I tried to teach her but she isn't the best learner.
And when it comes to sex, I don't fit...
What do I do??!!
1 AnswerSingles & Dating5 years agoWhy do some people find me "hot" even though everyone else finds me disgusting?
From the moment I was a little boy, people found my huge scar on my stomach disgusting.
My parents would warn others about this, like send an e-mail to the sports teacher, and some people would even tell me to 'put on a shirt' or stare in shock when I was shirtless.
Since a few years however hot girls, even with boyfriends, want to see me naked, tell me that things like that even just my presence turns them on or that I look dangerous and masculin.
I can't believe in a thousand years that that is true, why are they lying?
4 AnswersOther - Beauty & Style5 years agoBest friend wants to see my dick?
So, I used to date this girl and tbh I was a horrible boyfriend to her back then.
The first time she send me nudes was because I told her to and I also promised her nudes of my own.
Anyway a lot went wrong afterwards and the relationship was horrible.
A long time after however I went back to her and apologized over and over again and she accepted it.
We became best friends, she is my only best friend actually.
Anyhow, she doesn't care anymore if I see her naked and neither do I, but recently she asked to see me naked cause I promised her but it never happened.
I have a girlfriend now for over 7 months, what do I do?
I feel guilty as **** for what I did.
2 AnswersSingles & Dating5 years agoAnyone has funny story ideas?
I'm trying to make it harder for myself to write by doing more versatile stories, but I've never written someone elses idea.
I also want to write something I'd never write about else, something that'll be super awkward for me to write about.
I'm a 19 year old guy, kinda a jock so you can use that as a stereotype to think about what I don't want to write about xD
No fanfics though.
1 AnswerBooks & Authors5 years agoIs this routine a good idea?
So, I always want to do and powerlifting and olympic lifting and strongman and calisthenics and be real athletic, however I cant become amazing at all of them.
However a while ago I was just watching so so many videos about core routines and I started wondering...
Would it be a good idea for me to really just do advanced core routines everyday instead of other workouts while also keeping an eye out for neglected muscles.
So I mean training for exercises like human flag, dragon flag, adding in exercises like suitcase carry, dumbell rows and one-legged deadlifts from time to time to further work the core but also other parts of my body.
Would that make me a lot stronger in all those sports and athletic or not at all?
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness5 years agoWould this be a smart new fitness trent?
So, I have been doing this for myself and I think it's a great idea but Im not sure if it could become an actual "big" thing if I put effort behind it after I get my sportcoach diploma.
The idea is to train for health but still get physically stronger, bigger and faster.
So the main focus is the core, rotatorcuffs, forearms, forgotten leg muscles, stability, injury prevention.
So at first the exercises will be quite easy, planks, one legged toe touches, hanging knee raises, birds, side planches, rotatorcuff exercises with resistance bands, some forearm exercises, certain yoga exercises,... stuff like that.
But as the workouts progress and you get better, you'll start training more athletic exercises that improve balance, burpees, more advanced planch exercises, pull over, extra wide squats, animal walks, push ups and bodyweight rows with ab exercises incorporated, kettlebell swings, exercises with gymball, ab exercises with weights,...
And when those become easy you start training for dragonflag, L-sit, humanflag, handstand, pistolsquats, deadlifts, briefcase carry, farmer's walk, front squat, one handed dumbell press,...
The point in doing all those exercises would be to master the exercise instead of exhausting muscles or speed so volume would be low, workouts would be short and weight not be too high.
Frequency would be high though.
1 AnswerDiet & Fitness5 years agoWhat kind of stamina?
I always hear that a fighter needs to have loads of stamina.
Does it matter what kind of stamina cause I never get the point in hours of jogging/cycling for a street fighter.
What I'd do is ropeskipping, speedwork with sprints, shadowboxing, bagwork, speeddrills,... but lot's of it with small rest periods to increase cardio as well.
Good idea?
1 AnswerBoxing5 years agoWhat is the most important attribute of a fighter?
Imagine there are three people with exactly the same amount of experience in martial arts as you, but non of your strength/speed/endurance training.
The first fighter however is a real strongman, great powerlifter and a beast in weighted calisthenics. But he is super heavy, slow and has no endurance.
The second fighter is a real speedster, speed drills for the win. Ladders, shadow boxing for speed, swift dodging, he does it all every single day for a short period of time. He is super light which makes him super fast, but he is weak and has no endurance.
The third fighter is mister ultra marathon, he jogs for hours, cycles for hours, rows for hours, swims for hours and can fight for hours. He also is super light which makes him so durable, but he has absolutely no speed or strength.
Who is most likely to win and who is least likely to win?
2 AnswersMartial Arts5 years agoWhat do you see as the ultimate workout for every athlete?
I have been thinking and researching to find a way to do one/two workout(s and switching them up) to become great at every sport/strengthtraining method out there.
So by doing that workout(s) you will be good at powerlifting, calisthenics, olympic lifting, strongman,... and sports like baseball, martial arts, swimming, track and field,...
Ofcourse skills should be trained separately and you can't do sports oriented training for every sport in the world, but I mean the broad aspect of all those sports.
So it should accomplish lifting really heavy, being super explosive, being great at throwing/punching, being really fast, having a very strong functional core, being extremely versatile and more.
This should all be accomplished in the same workout(s) and you can't just throw every existing exercise in there cause that's not accomplishable.
One answer isnt correct and ofcourse nobody will actually have the one perfect workout, I'm just curious as I have an idea of my own
1 AnswerDiet & Fitness5 years agoIs this a good workout for fighting?
I do some olympic lifting with barbells and kettlebells.
One limbed dumbell press, squat, rows, deadlifts...
Plyometrics like explosive muscle ups, jumps etc.
Loaded carry like sled pushes, sled pulls.
Kettlebell throws and medicin ball throws.
Isometric core exercises like bodyweight hamstring curls, dragon flag and human flag.
Any ideas or comments?
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness5 years agoHow do I nake myself less approachable?
People start talking to me all the time when I'm using public transport, my brother keeps striking up conversations when I'm alone, people keep texting me when I'm finally alone.
Like it has happened to me that people on the street reconise me from idk what party even though I only party like twice a year.
Just from my house to my girlfriend and back I've met an ex-prisoner, a junkie, an old lady, a young woman with the same taste of music as me, a theatre actor, a drunk, a group of party go-ers and more cause they randomly started talking to me.
When I was walking home the other say, 5 random guys I dont know kept pushing me to play basketbal with them.
I hadn't slept all night and had a stomach flue.
And when I don't want to talk to my brother or friends cause I'm tired of talking they get mad or sad cause idk but conversing makes me so tired and I most of the time hate it.
