what size screws hold on 2006 VW license plate?
I know they are metric, but what size? I think they are 4mm or 5mm. just hoping to save time and money by finding out before I buy. Thanks
2 AnswersVolkswagen1 decade agoI have a thumping noise coming from the rear end of my 95 avenger. Tires or wheel bearings? I can't decide.
I rotated the tires a few months ago and it really didn't help. However they are all about 2/3 worn with some chopping on the inside part. Before I get new tires I'm wondering if it could be the rear wheel bearings. I gripped the tire at top and bottom (jacked up) and found no back and forth play, but I could just barely hear the bearings when I spun the wheel. Is this normal? Or could it be amplified by the weight of the car at speed. The faster I go the louder it gets. I'm leaning toward replacing the bearings, but the wear of the tires is suspect also. I don't have the money to do both right now, what do you think?
