A ball starts with only a horizontal velocity of V at the top of a flight of stairs with an infinite number of steps, each step having both a height and length of X as well as infinite mass. If each collision between the ball and stairs is perfectly elastic and the ball hits the 1st step in precisely the center of it, what is the first step the ball will never hit? (assuming no friction whatsoever)
