This would be the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, and not any of the models, imitations, etc.

The reason I ask is that I've seen pictures of this beautiful landmark and can't recall what color it is. Sometimes it is showered with fireworks, sometimes shown at night with colorful lights shining upon it, and so on. I understand that it is made of iron (so I've heard; or, perhaps of steel?), and might take on something of the color of the sky. But I've also read that it is painted each year with many tons of paint -- but of what color, I know not.

And so, aside from lighting, fireworks, and the influence of shades of sky coloring, but allowing for the pain: can someone give a plain answer to what color the Eiffel Tower is, in Paris, France - say, by day, without sunrise or sunset colors? And do they change the color of it from time to time? (Citing a reliable source would add sparkle to your answer!)

You may or may not be a hobbit or elf to respond, but I'm just wondering if there might be any hobbits or elves (or would-be ones) participating in these question and answer postings, and how many there might be. Answers may be humorous or serious, but should be in English, please, as I don't know any elvish or hobbit tongues.
