  • Trying to find the name/ artist of a South African Song?

Im trying to find a South African (Christian) song from the 80's - early 90's. I believe it is sung in Zulu.

The lyrics are along the lines of :

(Verse) ujesu... uyindela nequiniso mara jon de kuye

it then goes into (something like)...

bonka banu (ma se/ mara jon de kuye)..... zonkizizwe (ma se/ mara jon de kuye)

My spelling is probably wrong because I do not speak Zulu, but I remember song had a video with people wearing traditional Zulu attire and I believe a group of men were singing in a call and response format.

    Help would be much appreciated

    Thanks :o)

  • Car failed MOT on emissions (high CO2 and high Lambda), what could be the problem?

My car recently failed its MOT on the emissions test, but all mechanics I've been to have been vague as to what the problem could be. Some say oil change/filter change, others say catalytic converter or Lambda (o2/ oxygen) sensor (and if so front or rear as I have 2). I don't know who to believe and I haven't got enough money to try all of them :)

    Car: VOLKSWAGEN POLO 1.0L (1997)

    Emission values are:

    CO2: 0.52% (max 0.30%)

    HC: Pass

    Lambda/ o2: 1.036 (max 1.030)

If someone could shed light on this situation I would be very grateful. Thanks :o)

  • Appealing a PCN for pulling up in a loading bay to closer view restriction times on a busy road?

I pulled up to see the restriction times in a loading bay, when realising that stopping there was potentially not suitable I pulled back out again. The image shown CLEARLY shows me indicating back out onto the road. There aren't any NO clearway/no stopping signs. The loading bay says 'loading for up to 40 mins, no return within 1 hour'.

The contravention states "02- parked or loading/unloading in a restricted street where waiting and loading/unloading restrictions are in force. The sign does not state NO WAITING and I never left the car. FINE £100

    Is this justified?

  • Why is there a strong smell of petrol inside my car?

There is a strong smell of petrol inside my car (especially when the heater/ fan is on). I have recently changed the centre and rear boxes of the exhaust (the old ones were corroded [MOT fail] and I thought this would solve the problem), but I find that sometimes when I start the car there is still an excessive amount of smoke coming from the exhaust.

Does anybody know what the problem could be? Thanks

  • How much does Choi Kwang Do cost?

I'm thinking of going to a CKD class in my area and I was wondering how much the average membership costs.

Ive been looking for a new martial art and have studied TKD in the past so I am prone to join, if I find that the club is good.

I just wanted to find out how much it costs before I go, to see if it is worth my while.

    Thanks

  • Shall I go on holiday for 4 weeks?

I wanted to go on a holiday for 3 weeks on the same flight as some of my family. The seats are all booked for the same date (coming back) so my only option is to go on the same flight there, but come back a week later.

I have other family members over there but, 4 weeks seems a little long.

Plus I will have to sort out my own transfer coming back and go on a 10hr flight by myself.

  • Do you think I should buy a new car?

I passed my test over a year ago and since then I have been driving my mum's car. Recently its been breaking down a lot and everything seems to be going wrong with it.

On top of that it is almost impossible to get parts for it because its and old Rover car (since they went bankrupt there has been a decline in parts and rover qualified mechanics).

So my option is to buy my own car as I will need a reliable one for commuting purposes.

However my mum is reluctant to sell her's even though its on its last legs and the costs will be too much to keep two cars.

    Any advice????

  • Would you buy voice recognition software which could open programs on both a mobile phone and a PC/Mac?

I am doing a market research/ survey for my degree project and I need to know if people would buy a voice recognition software package (around £50/ $70), which has the capability to open files on both a mobile phone and laptop/PC/Mac.

Along with your answer I will need the following info:

    - Age Group/ Age

    - Gender

    - Country

    - Any Disability (in which you may benefit from this software) e.g. partial blindness, physical disability e.t.c. If none please put "No Disability"

Please give honest answers and you may choose to provide your reasoning.

I need as many answers as possible as I have to create percentages and graphs e.t.c

    Thanks :o)

  • Name of the song in Sister Act 2?

There is a rap/hip-hop tune which features in the film Sister Act 2 on the rooftop scene where "Rita" is telling her friends about not singing in the choir.

Its not featured on the OST and I've Googled it many times still with no luck.

The tempo is quite slow, it has a basic bass line, a saxophone plays the melody and it features one rapper the lyrics sounds something like:

"To help me from the ladder to the land"

I love the sound of this tune and want to hear the full version. Its been almost 15 years since this film came out and I have loved the song since i first heard it.

10 points and a great big virtual hug for the first person to give me the correct answer :o)

  • Which Martial art should I do?

I've decided to start a "fitness regime" and was thinking a Martial Art would probably be the best option (past experience) as it is something I will probably stick to rather than going to the gym.

I have previously done Taekwon-do [W.T.F style] for almost 2 years and achieved a green belt (5th Gup/Kup/ halfway between white and black) but due to the increase in (the already extortionate) cost, I had to quit.

I was wondering whether to find another TKD club and continue or just start a new martial art from scratch?

I'm 5' 10" (Female) and have quite a large build, I dont mind speed (as in TKD, but not too much) and exercise because I need to shed a few pounds :o), but I dont want a M.A which will just build pure muscle.

    Any suggestions...lovely Yahoo people?

  • Should I learn Portuguese or Spanish first?

Since the beginning of this year, as a resoultion I've decided to learn a new language. I started learning Japanese last year, but that was becoming too hard to study.

So I have decided to learn either Spanish or Portuguese, but I can't fully decide on which one. I have a friend who is from Brazil and it would be nice to speak to her in Portuguese and I attend a church which sings songs from Angola (Portuguese).

But I also have another friend who speaks Spanish and I may want to go to Cuba or Mexico in the future.

Which one is easier, quicker and cheaper (more resources) to learn, and which one would be more beneficial to me in the long run?

  • Do you think I should leave University?

I started my degree in Sept 07 and I am now wondering if I have made the right decision. In the summer I completed my BTEC national diploma and achieved the highest mark, through sheer hard work (blood, sweat and tears) and I still feel exhausted.

Now I have reached uni and I have already had to change my course due to it not being as described in the prospectus or by lecturers. The course which I am on now is also not as expected and is far more technical (harder). Coursework is exams..and exams are (obviously) exams, which I am finding very difficult as the BTEC was coursework based.

I am also finding student life hard and don't seem to fit in.

I am already 2yrs "behind" my peers as I was stuck doing AS levels for two years until I discovered the BTEC. But I have realised that I am far more 'hands-on' (practial) than academically minded, and so am considering doing a HND as it is more vocational and practical than the course that I am on.

What do u think I should do?
