I don't understand why people say Ex- A-Vee-Ah (many x words such as xylophone have a z sound) or Ex-Za-Vee-Ah (how can one letter make two sounds?).

So many little girls these days are called McKenzie, Addision, Madison, McKenna, Avery, Aubrey, Jordan, Blaire, Riley and Ashley ect. when they are all traditionally boys names.

People would have a fit if little boys started being named Isobel, Claire, Emma, Louise and Sophie ect.

Why is alright to call girls boy names but not boys girls names?
