  • Could I fly on a collegiate coed cheer team?

I know that colleges don't have written weight and height requirements, and I know that it is moreso based on your ability to fly, but I was just wondering how large the average collegiate flyer is? I have always thought that I am too large to fly (I am 5'5 and 122 lbs), but is there a possibility? I have previous experience doing basic partner stunts and flying in level 4 all girl stunts(several years ago), but now I primarily base. If I were to take stunting privates over the course of the next year and improve my flying skills, could I potentially be a coed flyer?

  • What rhetorical device is this?

"with all the enthusiasm of a kid heading to a tonsillectomy"

I want to use this quote in my paper, but I can't seem to find a rhetorical device that this could be identified as.

  • Can you identify a rhetorical device in this excerpt?

I will defend to the death everyone s right to eat a s more; and I will toast (incinerate) marshmallows for hours to keep a towheaded tot from singeing his fingernails. But I do not like to eat a s more and never have. Until now, this has been my secret shame. This year at Glen Lake, I decided to let the deception cease. I said, out loud, in the presence of all those on whose good opinion I most rely, "No, I don t want a s more. It makes me thirsty." As I had feared, my refusal was met with disbelief, mockery, suspicion, then, lastly, a solemn sadness. I had to insist, apologetically, with a cringing, hopeful little smile

  • What should my macronutrients look like?

I am transitioning to a plant based diet and use an app called Cronometer to make sure I am getting all the nutrients that I need. I aim to eat a high carb, low fat diet, so around what percentages should my macros be? I am not really sure what healthy macros look like for this kind of diet.

    I am 16, 5'5, 130 lbs, and moderately active.

  • Where do you draw the line between appreciating and appropriating a culture?

I understand that cultural appropriation is a major issue and I am interested in becoming more informed about it. I am able to differentiate the two on some cases, but on others I find it a little harder to identify something as appreciation of appropriation. Can someone help me understand this concept a little bit better?

  • I want to get over my fear at the gym!?

I'm a 16 yo girl, and I got a gym membership because I wanted to start working out with weights. The only problem is, the section with all of the squat racks and things I want to use is full of INCREDIBLY muscular men and women. I know that they do not care what I am doing and aren't looking at me, but I can't help but feel they are! I am inexperienced and self conscious, and even though it's silly, it keeps me from going altogether. I'm not sure what to do or how to just get over it.

  • How to eat vegan or plant based at summer camp? (real question at bottom)?

I have been eating a mostly plant based diet, but have not yet transitioned to fully vegan. I hadn't really been concerned with this because I figured that the camp would offer a salad bar or other options that I would be able to eat. But with my camp in only a week, I am worried that I have been over estimating the variety of options that will be available there, and it is too late to contact the camp with a request like this.

Does anyone have any ideas of foods I could pack into my bag to snack on or supplement what they serve there, and how can I make do with foods you would find at a typical summer camp.

  • Vegan grocery list?

I am 16 and transitioning to veganism, but my family is not. They obviously are not going to cook separate dinners for me and I don't want to make them buy things for me that they wouldn't typically buy. I don't have a lot of money, but I am willing to buy things for myself to supplement the food items that my family usually buys or has. We usually have fruit, rice, potatoes, spinach, and veggies, but I would like more variety than just that. Please give me feedback or extra items to add to my grocery list!

Chickpeas, lentils, tofu and tempeh (for a recipe i found online), nutritional yeast, and b12 supplement liquid

  • Is this a correct MLA in text citation?

I have 2 quotes from different sources in the same sentence, is this correct?

In this televised era, “presidents are...judged by standards formerly used to assess rock singers and movie stars” (Source B) and “our national politics has become a competition...between images rather than ideals” (Source C).

  • Can you be a camp counselor or junior counselor at 16?

I'm really interested in becoming a camp counselor as a summer job. I suspect that you probably have to be 18 or older, and I can't really find an answer to this question.
