So I'm gonna try to make a long story really short here. Basically, my gf and I had been together for over 2 years, I loved her like crazy but she fell into a terrible depression after she began hrt. During this time, she got more and more distant until about 6 months ago, she couldn't handle it and alienated herself from all her friends, including me.

She essentially kicked everyone out of her life, be it a conscious effort or one she just couldn't help due to being apathetic towards everything. At that time, I blocked out a lot of it, not feeling much at all. Only recently (within the last month or so) did I really think about it and realise how much she meant to me and that I'm still in love with her. I started talking to her again (after about a 5 month absence of zero communication) and, despite saying she's still depressed and still fairly apathetic, she seemed to be getting better and slightly more open than the peak of her depression.

We've been talking semi regularly for a few weeks now and I'm starting to wonder if I should tell her how I feel and that I want to give things another shot between us but I'm terrified of her rejecting me or losing her completely, so I've held my tongue for a while, debating what I want to do. My question to any TS' out there; having possibly gone through similar circumstances regarding depression, should I go back to her and would it be a good idea to tell her my feelings or is it a lost cause? :s

Hi everyone. I'm new to DJing live but I really want to get into it as I've been producing my own tracks for awhile now.

But when it comes to DJ equipment, turntables, and all the fun stuff that goes with that, I'm virtually clueless.

So I was looking at getting a good beginner's dj controller but I really don't want it to fall within that "toy" category that would be generally laughed at if I brought it into a club, if you know what I mean. I don't need something with a bunch of fancy buttons because the type of music I produce doesn't really need a lot of that for now but I still want something of quality. I've been looking at the following but I'm honestly not sure if they're decent or if I don't need something quite as complex in some cases.

So, I haven't played Dark Souls in a while but I finally got the Artorias of the Abyss DLC, deciding to start it up on New Game ++ having left it right after the final boss as the game resets again.

However, I'm wondering if the difficulty should have increased by a ridiculous amount like it did for me or if I've ****** up the game somehow. I'm at level 284 with this character, did an insane amount of grinding in order to get up to this point so that the next game I started wouldn't be too difficult and I could OP some of the bosses or attempt a speed run. However, when I started again and added patch 1.07, I'm getting instantly killed by most enemies.

Small enemies, no but I'm having trouble with black knights when at lvl 284, I really shouldn't be. I don't know if the recent patch greatly increased difficulty or made the player character weaker but I'm getting one shot killed or just completely destroyed by a lot of enemies and I can't even get to the point to access the DLC. And it's even worse if I get invaded. Happened 20 times so far and I've been almost instantly killed each time.

Hi! I'm in the market for an upgrade on the headphones I already have.

I currently own the Philips Citiscape Uptowns and they're great (especially for the $80 I bought them for) but they're not incredibly portable and even when just sitting down, doing nothing, they tend to get uncomfortable if it's warmer out.

Anyway, I'm not a huge audiophile so I don't know a whole lot about headphones but I really want to get a good pair as I'm starting to DJ more and more along with producing my own music. So, what would be a good, well rounded headphone under $150 that is comfortable and at least semi portable?

My top picks that I've seen so far are the Koss Pro DJ 100s, Skullcandy Aviators, Ultrasone HFI580s, or the Audio Technica a700x

Any other suggestions are obviously welcome but from what I've seen, I'm gravitating towards those options.

I'm looking to get into inline skating but I don't really want a "beginner skate" if that translates to something that kind of sucks but I don't have a fortune to spend, either.

I've found four models that all sound pretty decent but I'm not horribly knowledgeable about the subject and I wanted to hear from more experienced skaters which ones would be better for what I'm after (IE; something that isn't sluggishly slow and won't kill my feet)

So yeah, which of these would work best? I've tried on all of them and know my size but didn't get to actually skate around (store wouldn't let me actually SKATE in them). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh and if it matters at all, I'm 6'0 and 138lbs, so Im' not a big guy really at all.

I'm not sure what's exactly wrong with me, or if anything at all, but lately I've just felt awful for no apparent reason. My life is just fine. I have nothing to be upset about, really and everything I want to do with my life is in the near future, so again, I have nothing to complain about.

Yet, recently, I've just felt terrible and I can't explain it. The only way I could describe it is as if my hormones are raging out of control but I've never felt this way before. I'll wake up and feel okay but I'll progressively get in a more pissed off mood without anything to set me off or I'll get sad and feel this horrible urge to break down and start crying. Today I did just that. It got so bad that my nose even started bleeding. I don't know what's wrong with me, if I have some imbalance with my brain chemistry or what. I workout a lot, eat well and have a decent social life so I don't know what it could be.

Can anyone help me out, please?

Oh and I'm a 19 year old male, if that helps.

I'm looking for a really good set of headphones mainly for listening to music on my iPod or on my computer preferably for under $100. I'd like them to be fairly cool looking too but I don't really mind the look too much, it's just a preference.

I listen to a very wide range of music from power pop, death metal, rock, alternative, trance, deep house, ambient, classical, and some dubstep. I've looked at a few but I constantly hear different things about each pair. Steelseries' Siberia V2 looked really good and it'd be awesome to double as a gaming headset but if they're only just subpar or average for music, I won't bother. I'm not sure about them though, as I've never tested them first hand.

My second choice is the Sony MDR V55s. I tried them on at Best Buy and they sounded amazing but the only small gripe I have is that there isn't any noise isolation which kind of bugs me. Then there were the Headrush Fusions which I randomly came across but know virtually nothing about. And finally the Audio Technica AD700s looked really good but I heard there was virtually no bass at all which is worrisome.

Which of these would be the best option or does anyone else have any better suggestions?

Anyone know anything about these? Looked at them for a while and really liked the sound I heard but there are 3 models and I don't know which to get. JX, Soapbar and AX.

JX has an HSS config (something I've really wanted for a while) with a seymour duncan in the bridge

Soapbar obviously has soapbar pups

And the AX is dual humbuckers.

Which is the strongest, most versatile guitar out of these?

Also, opinions on Peavey in general? I own a modified Peavey Predator USA '91 with a custom finish, pickguard and pickups and it easily is on par with or surpasses my Fender MIM '95 strat. I also have a Peavey Rotor EXP which is basically an Explorer copy and it again beats any Explorer I've ever played or at least is on par with them for a fraction of the cost.

I'm sure this has been asked countless times on these boards but I really need to know because I'm horribly confused and if someone can just give me the long and short of it or explain it thoroughly, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I'm an aspiring actor and have done a bit of extra work in the past (currently doing work now) but I have no idea how to get a SAG card. Everyone tells me something different, whether it be worth it or not so, understandably, I'm confused.

Can you only be in films if you have a SAG card? But how can you be in films when no one will hire you without being a member, thus creating this catch 22 of not being able to get one, yet can't work without one. Then I look at professional famous actors who either never mention being a part of SAG or got them when they were extremely young. How does this happen? I thought they took years to get? Is it because they know someone or what? Is there even any hope at all for me to become an actor?

I'm trying to get PCSX2 working on my Macbook (it's a macbook pro running on Snow Leopard 10.6.8) and I used this guide (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=11871... to do it but it's not working properly.

I downloaded and installed both items required in the tutorial but when I click on the PCSX2 icon, it just bounces once and does nothing. I've tried reinstalling both programs but nothing happens. Can anyone help me here? I really wanna play my old Ps2 games on here. :(

So, my girlfriend and I have been together for a year now, this past November. We were friends at first but grew to love one another deeply and it's been an amazing relationship and i love her with all my heart.

One issue though has always been that it's a long distance relationship and, while we've met up before and all that, I still miss her like crazy when we're not together. However, lately things seem to have gotten... I dont' know how to describe it. She's just been distant lately and I don't know why. There's been nothing that I can think of to trigger it but it just seemed to happen one day.

I ask her what's wrong when she's quiet and she says "nothing." Even seems to get angry that I am pestering her about it.

We'll go for an hour or so even without saying much of anything to each other and when she does say something, it's short, quick responses.

I love her so much and I dont' want to lose her but I don't know what to make of this. Are we growing apart? Is she losing interest in me? I have worry that she's seeing a friend of hers but I have no way of knowing for sure.

The reason I put this question in this category though is because... she's transgendered and is currently undergoing HRT right now. I don't know if the hormones have something to do with her shift in character but if it is, I"ll breath a sigh of relief knowing that it isn't her losing interest.

Please, can someone help me? I love her so much and can't stand the thought of losing someone so great as her. She's just been so distant lately that I don't know what to do. ;~;

I was looking at getting this since there's an ART100 with SD Blackout pickups installed at Guitar Centre here for $200.00. I was curious to know if these guitars were good at all for bluesy, mellow type styles as well as heavier metal.

I play a wide variety of music and this looked pretty good but I'm not sure if it would fit into my collection and add a little more diversity to it. I already have an Ibanez JTK2, which has great coil tapping, a Fender 1997 MIM Tele and a Peavey Rotor EXP.

I was looking for a Fender Strat with an HSS pickup configuration since that seems like an extremely versatile guitar but I'm curious if there are certain models with heavier sounds than others. Note that I'm also on a budget so I'm not willing to spend $1000+ on a guitar or modifications to one and if I did, I wouldn't be asking so many damn questions here.

Anyway, has anyone got any good suggestions for this? I asked before and it was very helpful but I'm mainly curious about the two issues stated above.

I was looking at getting one of these and am seriously considering it since I want a good single coil sound but one that remains diverse and since it's got an HSH configuration on it, it's perfect for me but I'm curious to know if it has a good range of lows, highs and warm tones similar to, maybe a strat.

Can it play classic, warm tones like Jimi Hendrix and the like along with the crunching sound the humbuckers get?

I'm currently looking for a good guitar with single coil pickups. Preferably an SSH or HSH configuration but a triple single coil would be fine too. I do, however want a good guitar with 3 pickups in it. I already have a guitar that's perfect for a telecaster sound so I don't want another one.

Is there a good guitar, besides the obvious Stratocaster, that has this configuration but isn't strictly a strat? I've had a bad history with Fender and Squire in particular other than their Tele's so is there something else that would be great for a good versatile guitar?

If not, is there something else that has a dual config that would be versatile as well? I was looking at a few at Guitar Center here and they had a vintage Peavey Patriot I looked at that sounded nice but I'm not sure if these guitars are right for what I'm after or if they're any good at all.

I want to go from Atlanta to London but I'm not sure what an average price or a good/reasonable price would be. Most searches I find are in the upper $800s but is this too high or a really good deal that I should go for now? I just dont' want to get ripped off :x

Also, any tips for making sure I get the cheapest flight possible? Getting them a specific number of days beforehand or anything like that?

I want to make this thing as I'm having difficulty with the Smough/Ornstein boss fight and have been working towards it thru the whole game but it won't let me make it.

I have a Target Shield +10 and I'm at the big blacksmith in Anor Londo but it still doesn't give me the option.

I'm going to go nuts if I found out I picked one of the few shields that don't work to upgrade all the way XD

So, is there a list or something I could see or does this shield not work at all?

I know this is probably a really strange question, but hear me out.

My girlfriend lives in England and I live in the US. We originally met online but we've met IRL before so I know she's who she says she is, so please no troll comments about that.

Now, I've been wanting to go see her for a long time now and I finally have close to enough money to go see her but... she isn't sure if she wants me there yet and her reasoning for it is that... well she's a TS. I've known about it since before we started dating so it's not like a shocker to me and I'm perfectly fine with it but she's afraid I won't like her if I spend time with her like that.

She gets upset when I ask her if I can come see her and I'm afraid I won't be able to at all until much later on. I want to go see her for several reasons now, the most of which of course being that I love her and I want to see her but also because I just want to get away from stuff for a while and going to see her would be perfect.

Is there anyway I could let her know that it's okay to let me go see her? Any sort of way I could convince her to change her mind? I don't want her to feel pressured but then again, plane tickets are kind of expensive and only get more expensive the longer you wait so, I'm worried about that too.

I'm sorry, I'm rambling but this is a serious issue to me. :s
