What do you think about the latest lie from Obama haters?
I am referring to the one that accuses him of betraying Britain by secretly giving Russia all of Great Britain's nuclear secrets. This isn't about being liberal or conservative, this is about figuring out the truth and being on that side.
According to ABC news, both the U.S. and U.K. governments disagree with the report in the London Telegraph that the U.S. use of "British nuclear secrets" about Trident missiles supplied to the U.K. by the USA as a bargaining chip in negotiating a nuclear arms reduction treaty could compromise Britain's nuclear arms deterrent.
State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley called the report "nonsense," saying the information sharing about U.S. transfers of nuclear weapons to the U.K. dates back to the original START treaty, an assertion backed up by the White House and British government officials.

1 AnswerMedia & Journalism1 decade agoWhat are some favorite books that you've read to or with your kids that you had NOT read when you were a kid?
Somehow I never managed to read a single book by Roald Dahl when I was a child, but fell in love with the BFG when I read it to my sons... are there special books you discovered through reading with your children?
3 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoPancake recipe help, please?
I've misplaced my favorite pancake recipe. Originally found at the public library in a restaurant cookbook several years ago. My recollection is that the restaurant is not "famous" but possibly specializes in breakfast, biscuits, etc. The ingredients include all-purpose flour, 2 T each cornmeal, wheat germ and oatmeal. Butter, milk and buttermilk. Probably baking powder and some sugar.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
I've searched the ingredients but haven't found it. I'll try the library asap, but in the meantime, does anyone recognize the recipe? If so, please post ingredients/quantities, I know what to do with them.
4 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoWhat is your opinion of this?
I received a mailing from my congressional representative that says that it was prepared and paid for with taxpayer money. It starts out with a bold headline referring to the "tax and spend liberals" in congress. If the mailer had been paid for with private funds I would have no problem, but it sure read like a campaign piece and I found it offensive.
I would have been equally disturbed if I'd received a taxpayer funded mailing lambasting conservatives.
Any thoughts?

6 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade agoDid Joe Biden become acting president at noon on January 20th?
I just looked at Article 2 of the Constitution and the 20th Amendment and realized that Bush and Cheney became ex-prez and vice-prez at noon January 20th. Joe Biden had already been sworn in as the new vice president. Things were running a bit behind and President Obama didn't get sworn in until shortly after noon. I realize that this is a moot point, but if Obama could not exercise the office of president until after having taken the oath, then seems to me that Vice President Biden was the acting president for about 15 minutes or so.
