Right now all I have in my closet are jeans and t-shirts. I wear my vans basically every day (I had to retire them due to the holes that resulted). I want to start my senior year (I'm 17) with more style than that. I don't even own a skirt. I do have a couple of dresses but only wear them on rare occasions. I want to go out and buy some clothes that have more to them but, everything in stores right now is shapeless and ridiculous. This is going to be just like the 80s (mainly because this all came from the 80s) and eberyone is going to look back and say "oh my, why did I wear that?". I look in fashion magazines and stuff but they are full of orange lipstick and funky socks with heels. Who really wears that? I want clothes to wear that will last me longer than these trends, but will still make me seem like I have a style. I just don't know where to find them. Any suggestions?

She is a lab/terrier mix as far as I know. I got her from a Florida animal shelter when she was a puppy. They neutered and gave her all her shots there. Since then, she gets all her Shots on time ans I use flea and tick stuff in the summers. She is 9 years old now and weights anywhere from 50 to 70 lbs (I'm not exactly sure, but I can lift her with ease). She has had some health issues. She used to have seizures every 3 months or so. I'm not sure what the trigger was but they started when she was about 4 and I recently moved houses and she hasn't had one yet. She has a lump on her belly, which I pointed out to my mother, but her response was "oh, she's just getting old, that's what happens". That's BS. She gave me a scare today because there was blood and blood clots in her urine. I called the vet already. She has gotten into the trash and eated tin foil in the past. She's eaten a lot of strange stuff in the past. She was even attacked by another dog last year. This dog has been quite the handfull. I'm just curious to how much time I have left with her considering her health, hoping this new issue isn't fatal.

The time is flexible. I either need the money before July 25th or before August 10th. I'm 17 and need to buy a car before I either buy the parking lot pass in July (for the vehicle registration) or before my brother needs his car for college. I'm starting my senior year and refuse to ride the bus. I was counting on my dad to buy it for me but he doesn't have the cash right now and I don't think he'll come up with any time soon. I have a job: lifeguard, pays $8.50 an hour and I work around 20 hours a week. My work money is for gas (for my nonexistant car) for the rest of the year. I do plan on getting another job once the pool season ends. So, I need money, a lot of it, fast.

Over a year ago, I received a hard blow to my left shin, right below the knee area. It caused me to limp for a few minutes, but I just expected it to bruise. The area felt like a bruise for a week, but never turned purple or any color like a bruise. After that week, the skin on that area has been numb to the light touch and would cause me severe pain if I ever banged it on something or got hit there again. I never went to the doctor or got x-rays but this has been going on for over a year now and I can't figure out what it is.

I noticed a mole on my back, mainly because I've been wearing bathing suits lately. I'm pretty sure it was there before. It is pink around the edges but is a lighter color in the middle. It is about 5mm, around the size of a pencil eraser. And it has a small dot of brown in it. I was worried that it might be cancerous and all of the bad moles seem to be much darker and less symmetrical. It is also smooth, unlike the cancerous types. It is not a pimple. I'm sure of it. I know what pimples look and feel like. I am very fair skinned (and I have red hair) and I am prone to sunburn but I am only 17. I have several moles all over my body, including 3 on my scalp that worry me too, but those are harder to see. Those are mostly brown, smooth, and smaller. I asked my family if they though this one particular mole on my back looked weird and they all said yes, so I just want to know if I should be worried. I plan on going to a doctor if it changes at all or if I get worried enough.

I've always been a "chill" person. I've noticed that nobody I know acts like I do. I never get exited about anything. Just the other night I was at a concert with 10 bands there. When my favorite band played, I didn't scream or even dance a little. I wanted to and my friends were doing it, but I just couldn't. It's not me. I find that I have to fake enthusiasm to not disappoint my friends. These are things I am actually exited about but just can't show genuine excitement. I also cry sometimes when I'm frustrated or angry but, I feel these two are unrelated. Why can I cry at stupid things and not express happiness about great things? I am confident that I am not depressed and strongly refuse that I have any mental disorder.

This guy is my friend. He has dated one of my best friends and, quite frankly, kind of reminds me of my brothers in looks and attitude. I never intended to lead him on but, here we are. I heard he wanted to ask me to prom and I assumed as friends. He hasn't asked me yet and last night, my friend showed me a text he sent her saying that he liked me. I don't know what to do. I like his friendship and don't want to screw that up so, how do I reject him in the nicest way possible so that he'll still be my friend? I've even considered using some tactics that will make him think it was his idea not to like me anymore. I just wish I knew how to do that. I really don't want to hurt him. Please help.

I find that I'm never actually sad or scared, so I have no real reason to cry but, the tears come when I'm frustrated or angry. I don't want to cry and, as much as I try, I can't stop them from coming. Sometimes it happens for no good reason. Something small happens and I cant control it. I don't consider myself to be an emotional person. It gets in the way a lot. Like say I'm taking a math test, and I can't figure out the answer even though I've tried the problem multiple times. This isn't a reason to cry and I dont get that upset, but I can't stop the tears. It makes me angry just thinking about it. I can kind of feel the tears. I've cried three times today. Just little things set me off, and I hate it. And if I've already cried once, my tear ducts are warmed up for another cry. Any suggestions?

Right up front: I'm not jealous. This girl is my friend, but even I need my space from her. She acts like a 5 year old. No joke, she whines and pouts when she doesn't get her way and is extremely entertained by coloring books. And her hotness to crazy ratio is seriously unbalanced. I don't understand how her boyfriend can take that. He's fairly normal. (but I wouldn't be interested because he's already dated 2 of my friends and I know how he gets) How did she get a man?

I get As and Bs. I choose my friends wisely. I have NEVER gotten in trouble. I do my chores and she doesn't even give me allowance. I have friends who's moms still make their lunch and drives them to school (I'm in 10th grade). My mom hasn't done that since 5th grade. She yells at me every day for not doing the dishes before she comes home from work and if I do, she finds something else to yell at me for. But that's not the issue. I'm going to my friend's sweet 16 and my mom is freaking out about how she wants to meet this girl's parents, how she wants to know who this girl is (the class president), how if she doesn't then I not going. There were other things but when she's on a rant I usually try to block it out. She hasn't even helped me with school since I was 11.

I don't want a small intimate get-together, but I don't want a super huge party either. I dont like the typical rave-type party with the dancing. I like a more relaxed, chill party but I don't know how to make that practical. Its going to be around mid may and Im on a budget.

She's one of my only close friends, so it's not like I can just drop her. I would get pretty lonely and she's introduce me to a bunch of my current friends who I do not wish to lose. She's just so annoying!! Examples: She sits behind be in Spanish and is always poking me in the back with her mechanical pencil (which is surprisingly painful) and shakes my desk repeatedly even when I tell her to stop these things. One time, I wouldn't talk to her in class, so she stole my work and wouldn't let me work on it. She's always stealing my stuff, like pens and papers, while I'm using them. I'm trying to deal with her personality and the weird things she does, like how she can never sit or stand still and how she always touches my hair when she knows I hate it. I just want it to stop because she hasn't always been this weird and I would like to hang out with her without wanting to kill her.

Sometimes when I run, I can hear this clicking sound that sounds like it's coming from the top of my neck where it meets the skull. It happens more when I jog and not so much when I'm sprinting.

Ok. So a few months ago, he told my brother (awkward, right?) at a party that I was not at that he was going to ask me out. Like on Monday (the party was on Friday) he talked to me in class about how he and my brother were hanging out at that party. It kind of ended there. The summer went by and now this year I only have lunch with him. He's a football player and I'm not really in his crowd of friends so sitting next to him would be wierd. My friends at lunch don't know him either. I catch him looking at me sometimes or purposely sitting where we he can see me. When I walk by (like outside or something when he's standing up with his friends) he takes a couple steps back to see me. I really want to go farther than looks across the lunchroom. What can I do, because he isn't making any moves?

My sweet sixteen is at the end of May and I'm already thinking about it. I only have like 10 friends that I can think of who I would like to invite and they're all girls. I'm not socially awkward or anything, I just haven't had the opportunities this year to meet new people and I guess I'm not the best at keeping in touch with friends. All of the friend I do have happen to be in band (I am not in band and it suprizes me that this group of people like me) So, how can I make a whole bunch of friends before then? (including some guys) I'm on the swim team, so I'm going to try making friends with those people when it starts and I'm going to do science olympiad, which might help make some good nerd friends. I also thought about doing some powder puff football.

I think my dog pulled her leg muscle or something. I don't even know if that's possible. She's a medium-sized 6-year-old but she has seizures. She hasn't had one in a while but something's up with one of her hind legs. I accidently touched it one day and she yelped. She won't go up the stairs and it even bothers her to get up the ledge from the garage into the house. What's wrong?
