I'm a Mesa-Boogie owner. I have a Nomad 100 and a Lonestar Special.
These are great amps and well made, but I'm wondering what else is out there I should try. It's important to me that the amp is all Tube, sounds great and built like a tank.
Brands I have heard associated with my needs include Bad Cat, Carr, Rivera and Fuchs. Problem is I don't know anything about them.

2 AnswersPerforming Arts1 decade agoI have a Mesa Boogie Nomad 100 W tube amp. Recently it makes a lot of humming noise in the speakers.?
I have located the 1/4" speaker input on the amp that is soldered to the speakers leads on the other end. Sometimes if I move it around it will stop the noise. Do I need to get a new cable or have it re-saudered? It this a common problem with guitar amps? I have never had it before.
