He left my son when he was 3 years old. My son is now 13. After sporadic visitation over the last 3 years, he now wants to have the court order changed. I have full custody of my son. Can he just go and have this court order changed just because he wants to? I am against it because when my son does visit him he comes back home and is disrespectful, naughty, has horrible attitude, and is just completely negative. I have grounded him from going there for the past 3 weekends and he hasn't displayed any disrespect or attitude. Your thoughts are welcome!

My ex owes me over 60,000 in back child support. I have finally decided to pursue it since I have a feeling that he is working under the table and is collecting social security disability. Now child support has filed criminal charges for his arrears and he is furious. I am financially sound, but he owes me 60,000. So, why do I feel bad for pursuing this? He left my son when he was 3. My ex gives me the sob story about how broke he is and that he shouldn't have to pay since he is back in his life (every other weekend). But I struggled my butt off for almost 8 years by myself while he was out "finding himself." I shouldn't feel bad right?

He called me threatening to file for joint custody now and he is SUPER pissed. He is receiving social security disability so my son gets a portion, but this is just for back child support. Should I continue to pursue it or just drop it and get on with our lives?

I have written to all my creditors from my credit report requesting that they validate my bills that are in collection on my report. It has been over 60 days and some have not responded. What can I do next to try and get them off my credit report?

I have begun repairing my credit. I've contacted collection agencies to make settlement agreements and everything but I haven't heard from them and it has been 2 or 3 weeks since i sent out the first letter. I need to raise my score that depleted during my divorce. Is there anything I can do to speed up the process?

I'm scheduled to get it by May 9 and I haven't received it yet.

My account was paid but stupidly i did not negotiate before doing so. now it's a paid collection status. i don't know what the letter should look like or say that i want to write to them and beg them to remove it from my credit report.
