Alright, here's the deal, I am setting up a new tank that I want to be a Discus tank. It is a bout 100 gallons and I'm going to put in 8 Blue Turquoise Discus in and I am wondering what other fish to put in with them, some I was thinking of were Peppered Corydoras and possibly a school of Scissortail Rasboras.

Alright, so I just did a 1/4 water change, and all my fish got excited after and they all freaking mated within an hour, heres a list of the species,

-Another Molly Pair

-Congo Tetra Bair

-Black Skirt Tetra Pair

-Rosy Barb Pair

How long until they lay eggs/give birth for mollies. How far apart?

Plz answer ASAP so I can get lots of breeding tanks if necessary.

I am setting up an Amazon River Basin biotype tank and am wondering what Corydoras catfish are from there. If there isn't one(although i'm pretty sure there is) can you give me a catfish from there. Corydori are the only catfish that I can think of that can tolerate the high temperature waters of the Discus that I wish to put in there as well, so if there is another one, please let me know. I have heard much controversy over the subject. This kinda makes me seem like a novice, but I have much experience with fish but have never done this before! :P My local pet stores manager is a marine biologist, he says it is ok in a large aquarium. My cousin, who has been in the hobby for 20 years says no. I don't need the whole, oh goldfish grow quite large speech and all, I will compensate for their large size by adding similar sized fish to the aquarium, but all i'm trying to get at(finally) is if it is safe to put them in and mix them with tropical freshwater fish?

Alright, heres the deal. I have a 3 inch Trinidad(Common) Pleco, and a 2.5 inch Bristlenose Pleco in a 45 gallon tank. I have had the Trinidad for about half a year, and the Bristlenose for about a month and a half. Will they fight eventually, or are they just peaceful grazers to each other and no be aggressive towards each other. I know they can be aggressive towards other fish, but they have proven themselves to mind their own business when it comes to the others, even the small half inch Cory school.

I have 6 fish tanks currently and am thinking of getting another one. Medium sized about maybe 30-35 gallons. I would like to try something new exciting, and low maintenance because I am currently still in school and 6 tanks is a lot to keep up with. What type of tank do you think I should get, here are the ones I have now,

45 gallon-basic community tank with tetras, lots of gouramis, swords, etc.

6 gallon-dwarf gourami, congo tetra, diamond tetra, lemon tetras, cardinal tetras, yoyo loach

5 gallon-fiddler crabs

2 gallon-Ryukin

1 gallon-Betta

65 gallon-discus

Any suggestions for a 30-35 gall?

I am thinking of getting some catfish for my discus tank, because the bottom is getting kinda dirty, and i dont want plecos or snails. i thought pictus cats would look the best, would they bug the Discus, ive never had them before and have not done a lot of research. Thanks
