Something exotic, but something that won't die on me.

I'm not going to be using a box spring. Also, the bed frame is such that there is a depression in which the mattress sits, so I'm going to be tucking the sheets into the sides of the bed frame. Will it fit? Will it be too much of a hassle to make the bed and tuck it in every time?

Which is the best one?

I have a foam roller, but I don't know if I should use that or go buy a foam or bristle brush. Also, how should I clean the wood before the first coat and between coats?

Also, how many coats of polyurethane do you suggest I use for indoor furniture.

I have some wood that needs varnishing, and I'm not really sure what to use. Of course, wood varnish would be the obvious answer, but I'm thinking of using polyurethane because I think it might work better with fewer coats. So what do you think I should use, and how many coats? (If it matters, the wood is stained black.)

Does turpentine work? If so, should I scrub with it, or leave it there for a while and than scrub later?

Some of the sanding disks for the machine that I'm using have cloth on the back that lets me stick them right on, but others just have cardboard on the back and I don't know how to use them with the machine. Please help!

At what temperature do you recommend?

I was advised to use photobacterium agar for the vibrio fischeri I've been meaning to grow, but regular agar is much cheaper. Does it make a difference, and if so, how much of a difference?

Personally, I'm 80% sure it'll be the Lakers.

To be specific, I'm looking to grow a culture of Vibrio fischeri, which is a bioluminescent species. Also, does lighting affect how long or how well they grow?

I want to grow a venus flytrap, indoors. I live in SoCal so it never gets to cold, and the spot I've chosen gets a small-moderate amount of sunlight. Also, I don't know if I should start it from a seed or buy one already growing. Which would give me a better, healthier plant? Any tips?

It's pretty fair for all teams. Miami fills the gaps at the point guard and center (even if they may have a new one at SF). Detroit gets rid of Sheed, who doesn't even wanna be there, and get a hell of a front court in Camby, Haslem and Thornton. LA gets the SF of their dreams, and the Clippers get two very talented big men in Lamar and Sheed. What do you think?

Who wins? And do you think it's likely to happen?

For the first one:

Miami gets the point guard they need, plus a couple of decent other players. Chicago gets rid of their point guard to make room for D-Rose (if you here people start using that nickname, remember where you heard it first). Nets get a couple of expiring contracts to make room for free agents in 2010 *cough cough, Lebron James.* And the Lakers no longer have an oversized but soft front court.

For the second one:

Memphis gets a nice expiring contract and the Lakers get a promising young small forward, a backup center for Drew in Marc Gasol, and two decent point guards. Can you imagine what the chemistry would be like with two brothers running the frountcourt?

Trust me, I hate those stupid people who suggest ridiculous trades as much as the next guy. This one is real, and, in my opinion fair. Just so you know, I'm not a fan of any of the teams involved (LAKERS all the way), I just want to know what you guys think.
