  • Why is the top quark the heaviest of the quarks yet the smallest?

Ok so I know the top quark is the heaviest of the quark families, but only recently discovered it is the smallest of the quarks. Does anyone know why this is? Don't feel like you have to hold back on the details, I'm in my final year of studying Physics at uni (so perhaps you say I should already know this, but unfortunately I don't)

    Thanks in advance guys!

  • Wave Physics Help please!!?

A single-frequency wave disturbance is given by

    φ(x,t) = Asin(kx-ωt) + Bcos(kx-ωt)

Write this is the form Csin(kx-ωt+ϕ)

I know this has something to do with the trigonometric relation sin(α+β)=sinαcosβ+cosαsinβ but im struggling to see the resembalance! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
