  • Inflation Money and Wealth?

I'm not sure how to phrase the question but from what I can figure out I think the government / fed gets to double or triple dip if I'm right about inflation.

If we have a stable economy and a stable money supply of 100 dollars and 100 items then every thing would could trade at an average price of 1 dollar each, add as many 0's as you want to equal the real economy.

Now the feds job is to keep a stable money supply plus full employment so as we get more productive say 2 or 3 percent a year they keep printing money so we do not get deflation, I think that is the first ripoff as that money is introduced they get that first years productivity for free. Next we get the steady 2 or 3 percent inflation which I would call the slush fund so we do not get deflation again but they still get another 2 or 3 percent of our productivity and last but not least we save our money and the fed/gov borrows it at below rate interest rates so we are losing our wealth as we go along no matter how productive we get.

I'm not sure if the math is right but it seems to me they get an extra 4 to 6 percent of the wealth of the nation plus the tax money.

Could someone clarify this I've heard of the inflation tax BUT never thought about the productivity tax.

    Thanks John K.

  • Is the lottery the best example of why socialism\welfare dose not work?

Somewhere upwards of 50 to 70 percent of all winners end up broke or not better off than they were before they won and a lot of them end up worse off and wish they had never won.

Wouldn't this be a good case of no matter how much you redistriburte the wealth you just use up the resorces to make more if you take it out of the hands of the capitalist and give it to the consumers to use up with nothining in return or an idea to build something that someone else wants or needs.

    Can anyone say stimulas package

  • Both sides of the isle, just curious if this is a stupid idea or maybe has some conservative merit .?

I am most likely more libertarian than the hard cores but do believe the job of the governments is to keep us safe from outside attack meaning foreign.

The other job is justice if someone defrauds or uses force against another individual or group.

And lastly to enforce contracts made between individuals groups communities or whatever.

So I don’t want anarchy just freedom to succeed or fail.

This is where my libertinism breaks down; I think we should have boot camp for everyone for 3 to 9 months so that we would all have a part in defending our country. Maybe between the ages of 16 and 19 and any new immigrants who wanted to join the greatest nation in the world?

My reasoning is that the government should be very small and we don’t need Hugh police forces and armies to protect ourselves especially if we all get a little training.

I swear I think this is my only socialist idea but I think it may solve a lot of problems.

Just wondering how off the wall this sounded.

  • Could anyone take a look at a page and then tell me if we really need more government????

Just reading some of the who do you support questions and wondering how anyone could think we need more of the same.

Take a look at a little of this if you have time.

  • How much heat would you generate if you focused the sun 10,000 times.?

At what point can you no longer add more heat (can't get hotter than the heat source which would be the surface of the sun) but what happens the the rest of the energy that you are focusing into that point, dose it just disapate faster and how much increase in heat do you get out of each multipel focus of the beam of sunlight.

I'v tried to look this up and found different answers but can not get the whole thing but together if someone could explaine it in laymans terms I would really appreciate it

Thank you in advance if you can help.
