If I wanted to say what I wrote in the question, would I use was or were as the verb?

I know that when there is a pop when you perform a burning splint test, it means that there is hydrogen. My question is what is the actual chemical equation of this reaction?

I am not sure why this occurs and I can't figure it out. Basically why do the guard cells in the lower epidermis have chloroplasts and those in the upper epidermis do not?

The first time I open FF3 after turning on my PC (from hibernate, turn off, etc.), it takes a while to open. After timing it, it took about 20 seconds to show up on my screen. If I open task manager, I can see the process open, but it takes a while to actually load so I can use it. This only happens the first time. If I close Firefox, I can load it again in a second or two.

It doesn't matter what time I open Firefox the first time, it is always slow. For example, if I open it as soon as I boot up, it takes about the same amount of time as it does when I have had my PC on for a while (I had my PC sitting for about 20 minutes and it still took about 20 seconds to load the first time).

All of my other applications load within a few seconds. IE7 loads fast, Microsoft Word, Solitare, etc. Call of Duty 4 loads within a few seconds as soon as I boot up as well. However, Firefox always takes forever the first time I load it. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

So this is what I'm thinking. x=4 is standard form for x+0y=4, then 0y=-x+4, then y=-1/0x+4/0, which would be undefined. Therefore, the line is vertical. So a line parallel to x=4 is any other vertical line. If the line passes through (-7,3), would the line be x=-7?

I just pooped today and my poo was green. I checked out the internet, and it said it could be caused by certain foods. I just got braces, so the only foods I've been eating are potatoes (done in microwave) and cupcakes. The cupcake icing could a large contributor, because there is a TON of icing and the icing even colored all of my teeth a solid color.

Could potatoes/cupcake diet cause my poop to be green? Or is it another issue?
