So...how many times have you had to defend boxing's competitive integrity? Granted, promoters do gut the construct of metrit based title defenses to increase earnings.
My question is.....do other sports have more intergrity than boxing?
Keep in mind that in many sports, just like in boxing, big money programs/teams are infinitely more successful than your below average expenditure organization. The more a team spends...the more they win.
In baseball.....the Yankees and Braves come to mind.
In college football....you can rattle off the top 10 programs in the country and there is always a pile of money behind each one!
When high $$$$ resources affect the outcome of an athletic competition, integrity is sacrficed.
Am I the only one that thinks boxing is on par with other sports in this regard?
At least boxing doesn't ask for tax payers to buy stadiums!
